Lately, I have been hearing people picking the Dolphins for great things and knocking the Jets down a peg which I appreciate. The Dolphins lost there last 3 games and Hennetotally sucked in December but nobody mentions that. Without Ronnie Brown and the wildcat, they sucked and there defense was ordinary at best. If the Jets played like that, that's all you would here, right? All you hear about the jets is that we blew it getting rid of Thomas Jones and Faneca. Again, the press hates the Jets and look for any reason to knock us down.
Henne completed almost 70% of his passes in December. He threw some picks. His only really bad game was against Tennessee. Not noted however, was that he really had to air it out and take chances. He led the Dolphins to a, I think, 17 point comeback in that Tennessee game to reach overtime. He threw a pick in overtime to lose the game. Secondary was atrocious though. Very young too.
comp % and yards were very misleading. he was totally ineffective along w/ the rest of the offense in 1st halves of games putting Miami in huge holes before making plays in garbage time. He had to air it out and take chances b/c they couldn't score when the games were competitive. Ten: down 24-6 in the 3rd qtr Hou: down 27-3 at the half Pitt: down 24-10 in the 3rd(he left this game early)

Mike Lombardi was on the Jets jock during the playoffs last season, and now he thinks we're a sham even though we've gotten better. He also said that the Jets cut Faneca because of PSLs, so he clearly has no idea what he's talking about.
The more hacks who downplay us the better. Everytime I hear one these scrubs crowning us Superbowl contenders I get shades of 08 after we beat the Titans. It's bad enough we made the top 5 on NFL Network 32 of 32.
I have never been a fan of Lombardi but why is it every time a writer picks us he's ok but when one does not he's the worst writer on the planet? Who cares what they think? It's all in fun, all of us make bad predictions too.
