It's because the Giants have a lot of fans and the casual football fan/voter would pick them as a good team. If the Giants don't do anything the next couple of years they'll migrate over to being fair-weathered Jets fans.
Seeing the giants that high shocked me as well. Same as the Patriots. And the Titans so low doesnt seem right. Before this most recent season the Titans were a top 2-3 team in the nfl every year, hell last year (before the season) they were a favorite to get to the superbowl. Now that Chris Johnson has emerged as the most dangerous offensive player in the NFL the titans are a ranked 16th team ? Cmon now
I wonder what the Jets were ranked at this time last year (or New Orleans for that matter). You don't win superbowls in the off-season. I can assure you that the vast majority of those polled didn't look at schedules, because Atlanta is a top 8 team.

I've only been on here for about 2 months, but I haven't seen anyone say anything close to the things you've mentioned, other than people talking about the sweep but ONLY when the discussions turn into petty bickering. Maybe all those people disappeared right when I joined, though.
