well he probably is right that part of it has to do with the money but i really don't care. if the guys are playing hard than i don't care if tanny is sending the flight crew to give them bj's in between practices.
So let me get this straight... Woody, Rex, and Tanny run a business. Edwards and Cro are employees. The FO decided to compensate their employees in a way that maximizes production for their business. Wow talk about re-inventing the wheel.

The biggest problem that people were putting on the Jets is how all of the egos of all these players would mesh together. But I have a feeling, with Tanny and Rex running things, its gunna be fine.

I really don't think $100k and $25k make much a difference for these players. They both want extensions that will easily be in the $10s of millions. I know they both seem happy, but I think this is because of the team and the players, and not so much the small favor by Tannenbaum
Neither one of these guys is going to get a blockbuster deal without a blockbuster season. Both have shown flashes but not enough for the big payday. This season's an audition, for us or someone else, so they're gonna bring their A-game. IMO having these guys in contract years is all upside.
100K makes a difference to everyone, even the rich. Besides, its the point, the Jets did not have to do this. They are showing players, you got my back, I got your back. Players want to play for an owner like this.
Well, the fact that Tanny does this shit is very important. We had made many of our Key guys happy as hell commign into the ofseason workouts and thats a huge bonus for a team thinking they could go a long way this season.
