"You are what your record says you are" - Bill Parcells

Dolphins 7-9, LOSING record, no playoffs

Jets 9-7, WINNING record, 2-1 in the playoffs with rookie qb

I just can't even believe this argument is still going on. What's better, winning 2 games against your division rival? Or going to the playoffs and coming 1 half away from the Super Bowl but losing to Peyton Manning after your nickel back and best running back get hurt with half the game still to be played? It's nonsense.

God Dolphins fans are in such denial. Worry about your team and it's problems then maybe you'll do more than beat your division rivals who went to the playoffs and one half away from the Superbowl.

Here's your chance to prove yourself. I'd make a new thread, but the stringent post counts rules here are, quite frankly, ridiculous. I can't even post the link. Replace the xx to tt (obviously).

Salguero is a fan with a pen, that's it. He goes against every rule of credible journalism that I ever learned in school. It's so hard to believe someone employs him.

Wish I'd seen that earlier. I think we'll have a nice discussion at some point this week.

No, I'll call up--and I'll post on this thread when I do. I will put Salguero in his place. It's gonna be fun.

He's obviously doing it to stir up some interest in his articles/radio show. He's clearly an idiot based on his articles and inability to write anything that makes any sense at all.

Notice there are no NY reporters trying to build up a big Dolphins rivalry, because the Dolphins are beneath the Jets at this point. They just want to compete and be compared to the Jets, whereas the Jets have their sights set on a super bowl.

This really does echo our infatuation with the Patriots up until, well, this year. We were concerned with matching up with them while they, rightly, considered themselves in another class. Isn't it great to be the new Patriots, except, you know, without the cheating, douchebaggery, and asshole of a head coach?

How did the Colts smoke the Jets? Oh wait they smoked the Jets after the #2 CB, and #3 Cb were out of the game. Thats when Peyton Manning 'figured out' the defense. If you know anything about Football you would realize that. Yes the Jets lost. Smoked the colts? ha.

Why don't you go use that thing called the internet and find excuses on why the Jets made the playoffs in 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2006.

Then explain why you guys had a 7 year gap between your post season appearances.

But if beating us twice in one year is your superbowl, then congrats...you guys are champs.

7 year gap of appearances? Check out the last time they won a playoff game.

They actually won a playoff game in 2000.

They last made the playoffs in 2008 and before that in 2001.

All of this info really just points out how bad they suck.

We could also look at it this way... if Miami doesn't choke against the Colts and the Saints maybe it's them that lose at Cincinatti in the playoffs and the Jets don't go out and get LT, JT and Cro Mart. Boy only if you guys hadn't shit the bed when the oppurtunity presented itself.

I'll give the Phins credit, they did beat the Jets twice last year and 3 of the last 4 but when you lose 17 out of 23 or whatever it was going into last year you were bound to stumble into wins at some point.

Feeley, Pennington, Henne, Lemon, Frerrote, Harrington, Lucas, Griese, Rosenfels, Culpepper, Green. Beck.

What do they all have in common? All QB's that have started games for Miami since they last won a playoff game. Considerng we won as many playoff games last year as they have since before the turn of the millenium maybe we should take it light on this guy. He's got a lot of "rooting a shitty team" frustration built up.
