cotch is a number 1 wr because he does it all... he catches the deep ball, run routs over the middle, and gains yards after the catch... cotch would be a number 1 on half the teams in the nfl... just cause he isnt moss or johnson doesnt mean he isnt a number 1... he sure a shell is a much better wr than camarillo.
You guys are making it sound like the only requirement to be a #1 receiver is to be first on the depth chart. If you don't know what is defined by talking about a #1 receiver, then stop talking out of your ass. Having a 1,000 yard season once in your career doesn't make you a #1 receiver. Having reliable hands and being a "solid player" doesn't make you a #1 receiver.
Well then please enlighten us homer Jet fans and tell us what makes a #1 WR and then tell us why Cotchery isn't or couldn't be a number 1.
all of a sudden the dolphins have a #1 wr who hasn't even played a game for them yet and their fans are experts about #1 wr's... fins fans dont know shit and need to stop being trolls.
Comprehension>You I was making the point that it takes more then "proven to be very reliable and a very good reciever... he's not a deep threat but he catches everything." ...to be a true #1 receiver.
I'm sorry, but when was the last time the Jets had a real #1 WR that would make you such an expert? Keyshawn Johnson?? LMAO! Or maybe I meant to say Wesley Walker?!
who was the last dolphin to have 1000 yards rec... prob chambers right and that was a while ago...the jets have had cotch and coles and before that is was key who was a #1... who was the last legitimate #1 rec for the fins?
Chambers was never a true #1 IMO. The Dolphins haven't had a real #1 since the Marks brothers IMO. Until Brandon Marshall.
I really don't understand all this Dolphins stuff? I still worry about the Pats far more than the Dolphins, and will as long as they have Tom Brady under center and the Cheater on the sidelines. Yes, the Dolphins traded for Brandon Marshall, who just had surgery on his "good" hip, and failed to inform the team of his injury before signing his contract... His contract which has an out in it by the way, so they can dump him after just 1 year, which is probably what will end up happening after he acts up and performs his usual criminal/diva act. What good will having 1 good receiver do them anyway when #24 is on the other side? I'll take our WR corps over the Dolphins every day of the week and twice on Sunday. I don't think it's even close actually, especially when you put the tight ends into the mix.
Ahhhh that's right.. 3 straight head to head wins between 2 teams are more important than who gets more wins over the course of a season, who wins playoff games, etc. I see.. how I have it all figured out. I love how Dolphins fans hang on to their 3 wins like they were the best thing ever. They can only go back 3 games though because if they go back 6 or 8 or 10 or 20 or pretty much any number, the Jets have the advantage. And again.. when was the last time the Dolphins won a playoff game?? :finssuck:
Don't put words into my mouth. You have no idea how I think. And if you want to go back into time, you will quickly realize the Dolphins own just about ever major statistic against the Jets almost 2-1. :breakdance: But of course if I posted those stats you might cry and call me a troll.
