and 2010lookinup i was just trolling you man, sorry about though didnt know it would lead to this haha

but yeah im suprised how both of them were gonna say the jets, but mention someone else. im pretty sure they know jets have the best corner tandems, but i dont understand how the dolphins are mentioned??

they are promising sure, but other teams have a solid tandem right now, like the teams i mentioned before, they coulda said any of these teams before the dolphins: cowboys, packers, broncos, bucs, ravens

Moss was underthrown and gave a half-assed effort to make that catch.

It was a good play and great catch by Vontae Davis, but he didn't "Moss" anybody.

    Do you remember this:

You know what, let the phin fans think they have the best tandem in the league. If that's the case then the best tandem in the league should have no problem covering Edwards, Holmes and Cotch.

I like our chances, A LOT...

Yes I do. But that wasn't his fault. It was a nice one handed catch first of all. And second..

I'm sure you'll probably call me a homer for this comment, but I asked Vontae about this to confirm, and he did. I don't know if he's just 'saying' this, because we all know in every corners mind they almost 'never' get beaten 'cleanly'... But if you look closely around the 10-11 yard line, you can see Randy Moss throws a forearm shiver at the last moment and pushes off to create the slightest bit of separation, so he can bring down a one handed beauty.

Live I saw Vontae all over him running side by side stride for stride. Then around the 10-11 yard line (it's minor) you see Vontae's body just shift inside like he was given just a little push.

Tivo couldn't confirm this for me 100%, so I asked VD the next day in person. He said that's part of what makes Moss so tough to defend still these days.

IDK, maybe I'm just seeing it a different way.

You definitely have the better cb in Revis. He's proved that. You could have the best tandem if Cromartie plays according to his old form. However Idon't think you can say the Jets definitely have the better team. I like our QB better, live our wr corps with Brandon Marshall, love our front 7 and OL. So I think the two teams are very close and you definitely have the better cb now.

...you've never, ever talked to Vontae Davis.

No one gives a fuck what you "love".

The Jets ENTIRE receiving corps is better than the Dolphins.

...and I shouldn't even half to argue that New York's offensive line is better than Miami's. You don't actually think they are, do you?

Bengals tandem is very good. Remember, Cro hasn't done shit for a while. We easily have the best 3 - deep corps though.

Miami's tandem COULD be the best in a couple of years but for NOW that title belongs to either the Jets or Bengals. You could argue for either. If Cromartie, back in a man coverage system, reverts back to 2006-2007 form, it won't be even a question about who has the best tandem. It will be the Jets in that scenario.

    That's a great pick.

I think Smith and Davis are going to be superb corners. I don't think it'll show in 2010, though; they'll be relied on too heavily and the rest of that secondary just isn't complete.

I said this after the draft and I'll say it again: the Jets have the best cornerback in the NFL, the best cornerback tandem in the NFL, the best cornerback trio in the NFL and the best total cornerback corps in the NFL.

We will have the best. Cromartie will be back into his man coverage system, and out of that zone shit.

like we used to call it..the 'cat' system.

"you cover that cat, and I got this cat."

    :breakdance:

Really?? Are you one of these guys??

How the hell do you know what the hell I have and haven't done dipshit?

I work in the sports memorabilia business and run a store down in Ft Lauderdale which frequently does signings and player appearances. I've been around VD a good dozen times or so since he's come in as a rookie.

I've met hundreds of professional athletes present day and past and been able to become friends with several of them through out the years.

My company even got a chance to be on the field for the pro bowl this year.

You should have been there man! I was able to get 4 authentic Revis pro bowl jerseys comped and had him sign them for a couple of my buddies back up north in NY because of the money that event brought in.

You probably shouldn't speak like you know what you're talking about when you really have no clue.

I didn't say it, but it's at the least a debatable subject. Especially with the departure of Faneca, and the addition of Incognito in Miami.

To say it's the stupidest comment you've ever heard defies logic.

haha I know... some of you Jets fans LOVE to exaggerate with your comments.

Making it seem like Packers fans are coming here and arguing that their OL is better than the Jets.

Miami has arguably the best LT in the NFL and one of the better RT's in the game.

Jake Grove is a terrific center and our depth at guard is much better this year than it was last year.

It's really not that ridiculous of a comparison, calm down buddy.

moore is very underrated, rt is a ? but the jets brass seems to be high on vlad, mangold is the best center in the nfl no question... D'brick is a beast and turning in to one of the best, and woody has always been a very good player... they didnt become the #1 rush offense by accident... the comment isnt the stupidest i've ever heard i just think it's no contest.

Richie Incognito? Really? That guy sucks. He's a walking, breathing yellow flag. There's a reason the Rams released him. The Dolphins do have a good o-line though, just not as good as the Jets.

The much more hilarious comparison is comparing the Jets corners to the Dolphins corners. Just absolutely mind boggling.
