Cedric Benson ran for 2 100-yards game totalling 237 yards, 2 TDs. I wouldn't be overly concerned about it. Besides, we won't be 61% rushing team this year.

If we can get that number closer to 55% this year, that would be an achievement.

The Jets passing game will be better this year forcing teams to be more honest on D. They won't be able to focus solely on the Jets ground game. Lets not forget the Jets D is only going to get better in the 2nd year under Rex. The Jets score 10-17 points per contest and they will be in every single game this year with a chance to win. Oh yeah F*CK! DA ravens!

10-17 points and we'll be in every game? I think we'll lose 14 games if we score 17 points. We'll be able to sweep Bills with 17 points since they averaged 16 pts a game last year with a terrible offense. We averaged 22 points last year. I'd be pissed if we don't push that towards 24-25 points per game.

I think his point is our defense will be so disgusting we can win lots of games without any semblance of a useful offense. Having a good-great offense that we all are expecting this year will only make us a team that the Jets havent seen in a very very long time.

under normal circumstances, only scoring 17 points per game is a very bad thing. but with our defense only going to give 15 points per game OR LESS, I think it is fair to assume we would win more than we lose if we average more ppg than we allow.

Yeah we held a team that started the season like 0-8 or something to only around 5 ypc, not exactly shut down. (to the titans/chris johnson)

Im pretty sure our defense and special teams forced some big turnovers which forced the titans to get away from their ground game a bit.

Not saying the Ravens are a better team than us, but I do think its a difficult matchup. And in a head 2 head matchup they might deserve the advantage over us since they have a better halfback, fullback, and rush defense. Our teams strength is the flat out best pass defense in the nfl.

But the Ravens proved last year against new england they dont need to throw the ball to win. And when they do throw it its going to be to their HBs where our corners are useless.

Eitherway im not concerned. Even if the Ravens do beat us, were still going to make the playoffs. And when we play them again well have Holmes, Sanchez will be far more developed, and simply put the Ravens crappy cornerbacks wont be able to stop us.

Only thing that would suck IF we lost to the Ravens would be that it was our stadium opener on prime time, but winning the superbowl would more than make up for that

That's an awesome Avatar. Is Sanchez touching Namath's jersey?

Both Dolphins losses were because of stupid unforced errors that won't happen again.

This will be a tough game without Holmes and Braylon.

I am just saying the D will be much better next year. The Jets will be holding teams to fewer points. The offense should put up more than 17 per game with Sanchez having a year under his belt and better receivers. I am just going worst case with 10-17 per game. With the upgraded secondary teams will have a tougher time getting off the field on third and long situation. I just believe the D will improve. They should have less late game melt downs and stop teams when they need to like both miami games and the falcons game.

Ravens defense is getting old, we will need our running game, I'm worried about our o-line.

Fins didn't beat the Jets, Ted Ginn did and now he's gone. Jets also have a far superior secondary to last year, more passing options and a better pass rush. Sorry fins upgraded one position and may be without one of their stud RB's. The signing of MLB Dansby may or may not offset the loss of their two OLB pass rushers Porter and Taylor. I don't see the fins having improved.

Jets fans are the best, can't wait until the fall when the Jets have to win the division on the field. You all know they will lose at least 3 games that they should win. Can't wait until you all jump off the bandwagon when they go 8-8, 9-7.
