It really is amazing what Rex is able to do. Of course all can go down the crapper during the season...but regardless...you can get a real feel why Mr. T. has no second thoughts bringing in so called non character guys. Players that talk about me first...instead of team...would just look foolish..as Rhodes did last year. It just doesnt work on this team.
Is it just me, or is Cromartie always doing some weird a** lip-licking thing every time he's interviewed?
he was trying to think of other corners names after revis  funny stuff but you have to love how without being guided, he comes out with those answers and you have got to LOVE the atmosphere that Rex has created around our team!
hes probably giving him help on terminology or maybe just telling him how things are done whenever Cro isnt around Revis. maybe Drew is good at helping him with film and just not great on field. who knows
Thats probably the only reason why he makes the squad, he might have a really high football IQ, just not the natural talent to go with it.
Rex Ryan is one of the most amazing men iv ever seen lol...he reminds me of Tommy Callahan Sr. selling auto parts. "You can get a good look at a T-bone by shoving your head up a bulls ass but wouldn't you rather take the butchers word for it?" hahahah classic
Beemer benz and bentley I be movin I be movin makin movies tom cruisin if its action then im shootin pockets fat neck studded boy my nick name should be ruben
I have not to this point doubted whether Cromartie would adjust himself and jive well in the locker room. It still has yet to be seen whether he will put forth the effort that is expected. If he does he is a big time player, if he doesn't then there will be a new Shonn Greene in the playoffs.
Obviously if the guy dogs it every down he would be benched. But clearly thats not the case with Cromartie. He may just have an effort problem from time to time which is what I'm gathering about him. A guy like Cromartie is difficult to bench especially with the skills he posseses.
Even in a zone scheme with little pass rush that hardly took advantage of his skill set he was one of the better corners in the league last year in terms of opposing QB passer rating when thrown against. So even if he plays only as well as last year in this scheme, one that is much better suited to his strengths, he is still an upgrade over Sheppard. I tend to believe he'll thrive in this system, in fact I think it would be wise to lock him up to a 3-4 year deal now while his stock is low. When he lights it up this season we won't be able to pay for him. As for the Shonn Greene play, if we're in a position where Cromartie is responsible for making a tackle on a 230 pound back in the A gap, we're fucked anyway. That situation is rare, but everyone screams about it because it was such a big play for us.
