Just got this in my email. Things are getting pretty desperate, it seems.

I love the continuation of the lies, like "We have limited capacity, so please RSVP today!"

There's no limited capacity. The fucking monstrousity holds 82,000, for Christ's sake. What they should be saying, if they want to be upfront about it, is that they have limitated numbers of Sales Reps to fucking hound you once you get there.

They need to work you over one-on-one, so that's why it's limited. "Limited capacity" my ass. That's always been the insulting part: the sleezy, schlocky, cheeezy, phony-balony bullshit. They could have done this with so much more class. Instead it's got to be an insult to your intelligence. Just goes to show you what they think of their STHers.

The slogan should be, "Opportunity has never knocked you up this hard."

Same thing with the "Meet Your Seat" program.... should have been "Let Your Sales Rep Put His Meat In Your Seat."

Didn't the Jets realize early on that they had no shot in selling all the psls? They sent out that questionarre to current season ticket holders and I'm sure they got a majority of people who had no interest in paying for a psl. The idea of a psl is an absolute joke. You have 30 and 40 year season ticket holders that have helped support your franchise through horrible times and yet you want them to pay thousands of dollars so you can build a new stadium that will provide you with insane revenues from luxury boxes and all the clubs and other restaurants that the real fan could care less about.

The stadium looks like a giant air craft character. It has no personality. The only reason they built it was for the luxury boxes and all the club seating. Now you can drive to the stadium and get there at 11:30 and have a $20 sandwich in some club and then sit on a couch and watch the game inside. Is that really what anyone wants?

The NFL game is meant to be watched on 50" flat screen at home. The league and the teams could care less about the average fan that wants to tailgate and watch the game live with other real fans.

They also want you to buy two useless pre season games and parking for 10 games.

The Jets will probably wind up putting up tons of psl seats on ticketmaster. If I was one of the suckers that actually bought a psl that would make want to throw up.

Good point. I'm beginning to question even my own non-PSL purchase of 4 seats. I think the aftermarket will be flooded with tickets from both the Jets and individuals who have purchased PSLs from which you can pick and choose. Choose any game, get free parking included, no PSL participation required, no purchase of worthless preseason games necessary. Just pick whatever game you want with no other committments.

And that doesn't even include the landslide that will take place as soon as they start allowing PSL resales 10 months from now. All hell is going to break loose. People still paying annual payments on their PSLs will look at thebill in the same way that people in some states are looking at their mortgage payments on houses that they paid $800,000 for and that are now worth $425,000. They're walking away.

It is so overpriced that when they did offer me my desired row one section 110 seat I ended up turning them down much to my own shock. The PSL payment is $150 a ticket for 15 years plus a $140 a ticket price = $290. I would have to get a gun and shoot myself when I am paying $580 a game for my pair of tickets to see a preseason game that I could buy a pair for $100 bucks.

That is why the 6k and 7.5k sections are only sections that sold pretty quick in the price reduction, gives you a somewhat sideline view and a $125 ticket price and that is overpriced. Bottom line Mezz A low row corners and a few rows in TC and LGL and 50% of UD were fairly priced. The other 60,000 seats are overpriced.

$100 bucks? For two preseason tickets?

How about asking $30 each and taking $50 for the pair. And being grateful you got that. Like I say, it's a loser. And preseason games are NOT what they were. They used to be a somewhat competitive showcasing of this year's talent.

Now the word is out. Preseason games are practices and not even "scrimmages." Practices, period, featuring 2nd and 3rd string candidates while holding out all starters and potential starters who might even smell an injury. In other words, good for taking the 3-year old grandson to in order to work him into the Jets fold. He falls asleep after eating his popcorn and you leave at the half, then tell him the "Jets won!" when he gets up the next morning.

What's a ticket like that worth? Yeah... you guessed it. No more than $20, which is why you are happy to sell your two extras for $50.

Terrific "score." Did you get to see Eric Ainge throw that ALMOST TD pass to Wallace Wright? Wasn't that almost something? I mean, we almost won that fucking game too, not that it fucking matters!

But fuck it, that $10 score was really something. Great to be in the audience at that price.

I'm getting phone calls at least 2x month the ticket office. I doubt they will ever sell out. I am glad I did not renew my seats for the new place.

I got a call yesterday from this guy Matt that calls from the Jets. I gave up my tickets last season because I knew I wasn't going to be able to get seats in the new stadium so why give them another year of money I didn't have. Matt wanted to tell me about the new deal they had no PSL payment until 2011 , free parking and reduced seat pricing. I told him look as long as there are PSL's I can't afford it. He says are you aware there is financing available? I said does that mean I don't have to pay the $4000 or whatever PSL. (idiot) They are nice enough on the phone, but it is so obvious in their sales approach. IAfter listen to him tell me about delayed payments, payments plans etc. I told him look I have a wife and three young sons and in this economy there was no possible way I could afford PSL cost or justify even the high price of the tickets. He finally gave up and just said thanks. It really just pisses me off the way they make it seem like they are not asking for a crazy amount of money to see a football game. I'll spend $500 once a year to take my sons to a game and watch the rest in the comfort of my home on my 43" flat screen.

I like to watch preseason with some scouting reports on the new guys punched up on my laptop so I can see how their game is translating to the pro-level. This also helps me keep track of the bevy of new players/jersey number changes that happen every season. I love seeing real games live, but preseason doesn't fall in to that category.

I'm with you on that one.

The 1st preseason game will go for a hefty amount because that represents the 1st look for both Jets & Giants fans to see their new digs. However, the glow will drop from the rose quickly for the 2nd preseason game.

All in all, I expect the Jets to start offering partial ticket plans (ala the Mets & Yanks) shortly.

Then will come the final embarrassment when they have to put up about 25,000 seats for individual sale. The possibility of TV black outs will finally get the media's attention who so far has turned a blind eye to the caste system being implemented by the NFL. Although I'm sure Woody will get the blackout rule overturned as advertisers won't pay top dollar without the NYC market.

At the end of the day, the market will sort itself out. Sit tight everyone, it's definitely a buyer's market and the Jets 20 something pretty boy reps are starting to sweat.
