All we need to do us get to Rod Barajas, and then he'll take care of everything.

I don't think the umpire is a Mets fan.

watching the entire mets lineup get struck out by this bebop looking freak isn't very entertaining.

Well that fucking sucked. Ollie, Manuel, and the home plate ump can all go to hell.

Well, both teams did enough stupid things to not deserve winning that game, and a home plate umpire who apparently really wanted to get out of the cold didn't help things any.

Good to see him getting angry after a strikeout. I'm sick of being the only one pissed off.

He leads the league in walks, or is close to it, that's a big reason why. All I'm saying, it doesn't look to me as if he's trying to drive the ball, but pull it, and he's a much better hitter when he's driving the ball. All HoJo did as a player, and I loved him, was pull the ball. And, all he pretty much could hit were fastballs, so I'd rather see Keith Hernandez as the hitting coach, but why would he give up the job he has now?

Agree with all of you, I was out to dinner and the strike 3 calls to Wright and Davis were god fucking terrible. I didn't realize the Mets were out of position players because I couldn't totally watch the last 3 innings, but if I were Wright, I would have gotten ejected too. Ridiculous.

I think he should be replaced as hitting coach, but I don't think there's anything wrong with what Wright's doing. Let's not nitpick with the things that are actually working.

I think Wright's had a fine season so far, it's HoJo that I'm tweaking here. It looks to me like HoJo wants him to pull it more often, and that shouldn't be the case. And it seems like it's more at Citi Field than on the road, as far as I've seen.

I don't see why HoJo or anyone would advise pulling at him and not pulling on the road. I think you're overreacting to a couple at-bats.

you're prob. right. I loved HoJo as a player, but I don't like him as the hitting coach. He never had the kind of approach at the plate as a player that a hitting coach should have. His hitting style leads to more Ks, and so far Wright and Bay are both on pace to shatter there previous highs. I don't believe that to be a coincidence. Reyes is another one who looks like he's consistently swinging for the fences.
I often though Rick Down was a scapegoat. No chance to bring him back, and not saying I would want to, but guys like Wright and Reyes flourished with him as the batting coach. Like I said, I would love Keith, certainly a pro's pro with the bat, who always hit to all fields, with just enough power. But, there's no chance you're getting him out of the SNY booth, imo.

Wright better not be suspended due to this bullshit.

Whatever Wright is, hes not nearly as good as he was in 2005 or 2006. He used to be a player you WANTED up in a big spot, and WANTED up in a spot where you needed a sac fly or a ball in play.

I now think he is going to strikeout in every big spot.

Hes gunna put his numbers up (25-30 HR) probably because it looks like his power is back, but he is still overswinging and trying to do too much up there and isn't doing anything to change that.
