I'd like to inclujde Blanco not from the Bronx in this on one side and include Johna to the other side - which previously, only represented batters.

I've already said things in other threads about Jerry's use of Mejia, Nieve, and Feliciano in other threads, so I don't need to repeat them here. Suffice it to say that the Mets could win 100 games and it still wouldn't change that their manager is a moron.

Its a shame because I like Jerry, im not a Jerry hater, but I can't stand the way he uses the bullpen, and Id really like to see reyes back at the 1 spot again, it just doesn't feel right. Bay still isn't hitting, theres no more reason to have him at 3.

Jerry really manages the bullpen like an idiot. You can say you want to put your best pitcher out there in tight spots, but just the fact that both these guys are in EVERY freaking day probably makes them much less effective than guys like Mejia or Valdes would be.

You gotta leave Santana in the game there. He leaves him in with 1st and 2nd nobody out, he leaves him in to get the first two outs, gets out the Giants best hitter and gives up a sac fly, has a man on first with two outs...and you won't let him face Whiteside or whatever his name is, the backup catcher? C'mon Jerry. You're just being stupid. The fact that you then inserted Nieve and Feliciano back to back is beyond retarded.

And the lineup should look like this:

    Reyes
    Castillo/Pagan
    Bay
    Wright
    Davis
    Francouer
    Barajas
    Pagan/Castillo

These last two days have been great. Seriously, when was the last time the Mets had a walk off win, let alone two of them in a row, and being HRs.

As much as it was great to see, a solo shot hardly qualifies as a clutch hit. A clutch hit is a hit with guys on base with a chance to do something. It was a big home run, no doubt, but clutch per se? I don't know about that.
The Mets have to start hitting like, dare I say, the Yankees. They get hits with 2 outs and with guys on base. There's a reason we score 3-5 runs every game. We could easily have 5-7 with the amount of guys we get on base. Middle of the order guys, too. They have to start producing (i.e. Reyes, Bay, Frenchy, etc.)

Edit: Just to further expand...the Mets have to learn how to pile runs on, put the game out of reach. There's already been so many instances where they have 1st-and-2nd and no outs and they don't score or just get one. In turn, the key guys in the bullpen gets used way too often, because instead of it being a 7-2 or 8-3 game, it's actually 3-2 or 4-3. I just hope when guys like Reyes and Bay (and Beltran, hopefully) start producing in those situations, we're still getting the type of pitching we've gotten so far.

Wow, right away. 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, with Bay and Wright coming up, and they can't even get 1 run in. This shit bites them in the ass every time.

Ollie in fine form this afternoon. Better he should do this against Lincecum, who we weren't gonna beat anyway, than someone else, I suppose.

By the way, I'm going to laugh my ass off when Jerry brings Nieve in for the 7th and his arm finally falls off.

HoJo cannot be the hitting coach for this team. He has completely fucked up David Wright. At CitiField at least. Every swing in the 6th inning, he looked like he was swinging for the fences. Until 2 seasons ago, that was really not a part of his game. The kid, Davis, comes up and takes the pitch the other way for a RBI single. That used to be Wright's bread-and-butter. What happened?

Wright's playing great. He still has a .853 OPS at home. No one has fucked him up.

And Bay ties it up! Now Wright with an opportunity to give the Mets the lead.
