That exact sequence of taking Santana out today and putting in the two guys he uses EVERYDAY is the reason why this clown of a manager needs to be fired. Johan had what, 100 pitches MAYBE? So he takes him out for the guy he uses every day. It's obvious everyday I watch that this guy just doesn't know how to run a bullpen or run a team. OH! Lets take our best player out in the 10th inning of a game so we can save one spot in the batting order.

Omar---whatever, Wilpons love him fine, but Jerry is just a joke. For all the talk about how good the bullpen is, they really arent. What are Nieve's stats when the Mets are tired are up by less than 3 when he pitches? They're probably terrible. But that's to be expected when the dude pitches everyday because the manager has no idea how to use the bullpen, lets see the youngster in a tight situation, he's ten-fold better than Nieve or any of them in the bullpen minus K-rod.

The fucking Mets should have more than 4 runs anyway. I've been in and out of this game since the beginning, but when you're issued as many walks and HBPs you should have more than 4 runs. I know last inning Castillo led off with a hit and doesn't move, and the inning before they left a guy on 3rd. This team has to learn to hit in the clutch. They're an all or nothing team.

He's been using nieve like a cheap whore, personally I wouldnt have brought in anybody. I think Santana is capable of getting out of something like that, and well, if not, at the end of the day Johan Santana just didnt get the job done, it wasn't some circus act with the bullpen. So, I disagree with it all together, but if you are going to bring somebody in, the last guy I bring in is nieve. We need igarashi back asap.

Watch this idiot put in K-Rod to start the ninth. Tie or lead.
    LEAVE IN MEJIA, regardless.

I know I'm repeating everybody, but Manuel putting in Nieve AGAIN is just unconscionable. I can't even handle it.

I know if he gets a hit he looks great, but I can't stand when a guy swings at the first pitch late in a game with a chance to get a go-ahead hit. Make the pitcher throw some strikes.

Igarashi still about 1-2 weeks away, btw.

Yes, and what happens if the Mets don't score in this half-inning? It's only May, let the kid pitch another inning. I know it worked out, but K-Rod pitched horribly the last 2 months last year, and historically blows saves in the playoffs. If you can save bullets now....you should.

If this game goes much further the mets are in trouble. They used 3 guys to get one out in the 8th.
