Kyle Wilson- Will be the #3 CB and will be in on many nickle plays and fill in for Revis/Cromartie. But as the #3 guy he might not have as much play as others. Vladimir Ducasse- Could very well be the starting LG or RT at the beginning of the season, only time will tell, but if Slauson steps up we may see Vlad on the bench till next season and filling in only at minor times. Joe McKnight- Could be in on many downs after Greene and LT will be a 3rd down back most likely so IMO McKnight will have more playing time then LT but as a Rookie RB its not so easy to adjust and needs to prove himself on the field. John Conner- Conner might be the starting FB when the season starts depending on how his training camp and pre-season go but with Richardson in front of him, though older, is alot more experienced and one of the best FB's in the league.
If Ducasse takes over at LG, he's the easy choice. Otherwise, Wilson. It's a passing league, after all. We're going to need him more often than not against at least a few teams on our schedule.
Dont count out Conner, if Richardson isnt getting it done The Terminator will be in on ALOT of running plays.
Vlad is the only guy I have starting right now. The only way I don't see him starting is if the CS decides that he's not ready to play. Wilson is next as the starting nickel.
Richardson looked like he was running out of gas somewhat near the end of games late in the season in 2009. And as strong as a blocker as he was, he had clearly lost a step from his younger days and some times he wasn't in position to make the lead block as effectively. That's why they were using a lot of those heavy sets with Turner lined up at TE. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TRich and Conner sharing snaps more and more near the end of the season.
I think all will contribute but none will start. Wilson is our nickel... Ducasse will come one when we play more than 5 OL (future RT imo) Conner will spell Richardson and play ST McKnight will be in the 3 RB rotation. All in all I believe we'll play nickel a lot this year so I'm voting Wilson. Plus rember it isn't a lock that Cromartie plays well so he might be promoted to #2 CB... I still can't believe we have Revis, Cromartie, Wilson & Lowery (not as fast but very good ball-hawk)... wow our CBs are great!
Proud we got a vote for Conner. He's the sleeper in all of this, Richardson is declining and Conner could fill in for him immediately.
This........... Too early to realistically tell though. Nobody except for the coaching staff has any idea what Slauson is capable of. a Ducasse well he just finished his 1st minicamp and is even more of an unknown at this point.
I don't think there is a clearcut player in the poll that will get handed a starting job. Ducasse is going to be a project, and I think Slauson has the edge starting at LG. VD probably has the best chance of starting out of any of the listed players, I'm just not sure I want a green prospect starting week 1 in front of a 2nd year franchise QB. Wilson will probably get the second most reps of any player up there, since he is starting in situational packages. I think the most reps either go to Vlad or Conner. TRich might pull up lame at some point this season and Conner would get tapped. The Jets could start Slauson at LG and all of a sudden Woody tears a ligament. It's impossible to know what contingency is going to happen but it's pretty possible to predict that one will happen in a violent game like this. So I'm just going to close my eyes and pick one - Conner.
Read the post completely before commenting. Was stating that to make it clear to you and whoever is reading in the thread that its about "Play Time" not " Starting Time". Wasn't really tryin to offend you abyz...
