http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings?year=2010&week=0 Ahead of the Pats by a spot. We grab # 8. Sick of everyone questioning the release of T.J. obviously they didn't watch us last season and saw him slowing down later in the season. I think we are better than the Packers and Boys, just gotta prove it I guess. Sorry if this was posted already, I searched ESPN Power rankings and nothing came up.
The only reason its questionable is because they replaced him with LT, who looked like he HIT A WALL at the beginning of the season (and not the end). Other than that, from my understanding, S. Green is apparently the future in NY?
I believe this ranking has a lot to do with TJ leaving us and bringing in LT. The guys on ESPN are like "Zoombies" when LT name is brought up. They all are forced to believe that this guy has nothing in the tank and is at best a 3rd string back. I know everyone has there own opinon on the current LT, I think he will surprise a lot of people this year. Due to LT being Injured all the time along with the Chargers passing 92% of the time I can see why people think LT has nothing left. How can you expect a running back in the NFL to do well behind Darren Sproles a guy who is 2 inches shorter than my younger brother who is in the 7th grade.
yes he's the future. You didn't see what he did in the playoffs? he's a monster. he's not too durable though. I'm tired of the Faneca, TJ bullshit... let it go ESPN.
Well..... Revis is also 5-11 so they cancel each other out. Verdict, we'll win at least one game!:breakdance:
They are stupid rankings, anyways. Must be another slow news day for them cause the rankings are not indicators of ANYTHING. ESPN is pretty mediocre.
Ravens #7 right in front of us. Man, I can't wait for the opener. Two teams on the rise and it should be a brawl. Glad we get them to open the stadium.
Its a simple equation really. LT is not replacing TJ. Shonn Greene is. Who is the better back right now? SG showed he is much quicker than TJ and doesn't fall back with first contact. No surprises here, people tend to think LT came over to be a starter. Oh, and we also picked up a healthy RB in the draft in McKnight. You really shouldn't defend those idiots at ESPN. Is that a question? SG was and is the future of this team ever since he was drafted.
Truthfully I think they made the opener against the Ravens for us since Braylon and Holmes will both be suspended so youre going to have 2 teams going head 2 head completely incapable of throwing the ball. End result should be an old school head to head smash mouth ground and pound classic monday night game with a really low score. Throw in some rain and things will get that much more gritty, cant wait.
I think the 4 teams above us dont deserve to be there not only for the fact that I think we have better talent and more solid on both sides of the ball and not just a glorified offence (exept the for the Ravens, who if they lose Ed Reed to retirement have a serious issue) but none of these 4 teams above us made it to a championship game!
Dallas either has no left tackle, or a failed high 1st round pick playing left tackle. The NFC East is a big pass-rushing division. How can Dallas be ranked that high with Romo's blindside in trouble? And how did the Giants off-season not improve the roster? The same guy blasting us for paying the best safety on the market too much money now says we didn't improve! WTF? I guess I shouldn't be surprised though. Rod Woodson gave the Giants offseason a C+ grade because "they didn't replace any of the talent they lost." Who the hell did we lose? CC Brown? If we replaced him with a similar playing our offseason should be given a F for "fucked up big time"
Theres 7 teams higher. 5 of 7 have been to conf champ games. Losing Ed Reed will not cause the Ravens to have "a serious issue". There is 4 very good defense in the top 7. etc... Basically, speak english.
I really don't think Braylon is gonna get suspended. Just what I think but this is multiple times now that I've heard this. Wouldn't the suspension have been handed out by now?
Is it confirmed that he's being suspended? If he's out and Holmes is, that puts you at a distinct disadvantage. The Ravens don't have a ton of depth in the defensive secondary and I think forcing them to put more corners on the field is a good tactic for beating them.
No, the only time you read about a potential Edwards suspension is when someone speculates about it on here.
