Yeah Yeah I know its mere speculation and more or less just a pipe-dream I would like to see come true BUT its not impossible, this could actually become reality and I cant think of another RB out there thats being considered to be delt better than Marshawn. Can you imagine the effect of two downhill runners like Greene and Lynch follwed up by alternating LT and McKnight to give them some relief and in 3rd down situations I know some others have had to have already thought about this aswell
It would be a good way to address concerns that we have brought in too many character problems. "Good Samarishawn" Lynch is a class act. Seriously, though, we have 3 backs who are more than capable of sharing the load barring two injuries. Lynch is going to cost a pick and will demand cash, all for a position that we're set at.
Im just curious who youd want to give up for him. And which HB wed be scratching for the season. Im sure Buffalo would love to give their HB to a divisional rival so they can play him 2x a year
hmmmmm let's not, it makes no sense! Get some OL and DL players! We need to get tougher in the trenches!
It's mere speculation...in your head. No rational person would ever think of this idea. 1. Buffalo probably won't trade him within the division. 2. Tannenbaum would be crucified if he gave up another pick for another runningback. 3. Just what we needed, another low character guy!
I agree that we have more pressing positions to adress but what happens when Grenne goes down, AGAIN? is LT and McKnight going to be our primary rushing offence? Do we put it all on Sanchez's shoulders? I mean the Chargers were ranked 31st in rushing yards last season and that was with Darren Sproles backing up LT not a rookie thats puking all over the field, I dont think RB is a concern as of now but it could be a serious problem we may have to adress I would just preffer they took care of it now instead of bringing in someone thats garbage in the event that Greene does go down
I think every single player who has been rumored to be cut or traded this offseason has a thread somewhere in this forum about how the NYJ should sign him. WE DON'T NEED EVERY PLAYER AVAILABLE. Jesus. This one may be the worst yet.
So, you want to trade for a guy just in case we have an injury at the position? Here's a question for you: which current young vet do you want to avoid re-signing so we can pay for Lynch?
It's about managing assets. If the offensive line is good enough, a lot of runningbacks can do pretty well. If we're trying to get a backup anywhere, it should be quarterback.
ok maybe the title is a bit overzealous and should read "RB core looks great but what would happen if Greene is injured?" Marshawn is just a good runner that has had speculation of being delt swirling about, and besides I knew the title if nothing else would bring in a few good flamers lol ok, so from now on this thread is entitled "What happens in the event Shonn Greene goes down?"
