This guy hasn't even been here 2 weeks yet and he's bugging out on airplanes, Tryin to kill people. Get ya shit together guy.
It's more than that. It's now the probability we will be one receiver short. If he can do this now after just being traded there is no telling what else he will do in the next 4 months.
Are you kidding me? Did you not hear what was said by Rex? It wasn't a big a deal as it was being made out to be.
From the article on the front page of this website. So.. He wasn't arrested... And the 'disturbance' was because of his ipod and refusal to comply with Flight Crew demands. I'm going to guess that he has an iPod touch, and he refused to turn it off because he wanted to listen to music on the flight, and when they asked him repeatedly to turn it off, he turned the music up louder, and then was removed for being a 'disturbance'
This is getting blown out of proportion, and hopefully this scares the shit out of him(he should already be to that point however..) I doubt anything will happen since he was let back on the plane.
I'm not sure the point is arrested or not arrested, crime or no crime. I am more concerned by the fact that the NY media (and national media) has painted you as a hardened criminal since you arrived to NY, Goodell, who hates negative publicity, has already suspended you for 4 games for weed. I would think he would drive the fucking speed limit, signal before changing lanes, cross at the crosswalk, return his tray to the upright position upon landing, and otherwise completely avoid doing anything that will even remotely look bad because it WILL be "overblown." He hasn't, and right now it's entitlement behavior concerning an ipod on a plane. Does not give me confidence that he understands his situation, and still feels entitled to follow the rules he chooses to.
It's not being blown out of proprotion, ANY little problem is big w/ him b/c he has strikes against him. This particular incident might not be a big deal but when you add it to all the others it very well might be a huge deal and get more games added to his suspension. This guy clearly is not all there upstairs, he needs to stay out of any type of trouble, he shouldn't even be jaywalking at this point.
Report: Holmes removed from plane By Rich Cimini and Jane McManus ESPNNewYork.com FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- It didn't take long for Santonio Holmes to find trouble. The Jets' recently acquired wide receiver was escorted off a plane Thursday night at the Pittsburgh airport for being "a disruptive passenger," according to Pittsburgh TV station WPXI. Another station, KDKA, is reporting that the alleged incident occurred at about 9 p.m. ET. No charges were filed, but an Allegheny County Police Department report states that Holmes refused to turn off his iPod when the crew asked all passengers to turn off electronic devices in preparation for landing. Jets officials said Friday they are looking into the incident, but have not yet spoken with Holmes. "I know what has been told to me and it kind of got blown out of proportion it sounds like in some of the media outlets and things," said head coach Rex Ryan, who addressed reporters during the team's rookie minicamp. Ryan said he was not happy to have to stand at a podium and address questions about this incident. "I mean, OK, lets face it, he should turn off his iPod," Ryan said. "That's what he should do. He should do that. I haven't had a chance to talk to Santonio, but he certainly should do that." The Jets traded for Holmes, formerly of the Pittsburgh Steelers, despite a list of off-field transgressions. On the day of the trade, the league announced he was suspended for four games for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
So will this be considered another 'strike' against him? How many strikes until he's suspended for the season? He's a fuckin' idiot.
Even if this turns out to be nothing, how hard is it to turn off a fucking iPod when you're asked to? He shouldn't have been asked twice about it let alone getting escorted off the plane. He needs to stop acting like an idiot.
This. I'm more than aware how ridiculous it is for flight crews to ask you to turn off all electronic devices, considering some aren't wireless in any way, or when airplane mode now makes this a non-issue. But who cares, just do it and STFU about it. Don't f*** around on airplanes.
It's got nothing to do with volume. Prior to pushback, when the doors are closed, all passengers are asked to turn off their electronic devices. My gut tells me that he failed to comply. The disturbance is one step below "Interference with a flight crew," a federal offense with significant penalties. He was taken off the aircraft, verbally counseled, promised to be on his best behavior with his tail between his legs, and allowed back onboard. Santonio Holmes should give each and every "electronic device" to a competent traveling companion before boarding the flight.
No shit, that's what I said. I believe that when they kept pestering him over it, he just turned the volume up to a ridiculous level, and that's when he removed for being a 'disturbance'.
