Doesn't look like a popular opinion, but I think Woodhead has a good chance. He made a couple of clutch plays when he was given the chance last year and while he doesn't seem very athletic, he's pretty quick, and appears to have good hands and route-running ability. Plus it sounds like he's a hard worker and got on Rex's good side. This is a good opportunity for Clowney too but it doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of confidence in him. I think it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

At this point ill say Woodhead, Clowney is gonna have to be unbelievable to make any difference in his fate. I mean solid number 2 unbelievable. I think hell get on the field more, yes but it just wont matter.

Woodhead should also see elevated play during the 4 games, as opposed to if Holmes wasnt suspended. If he can use this opportunity to become more of a factor for the team, coupled with Rex's liking for him already and his potential versatility, it may actually help him further his football career.

Clowney though, again, even if he plays decent, servicable may be the word, ya know not sucking it means nothing for him i think.

The answer to this poll question is Braylon Edwards. Period.

Again, looking for the guy who makes the team because Holmes is suspended. I don't really care about the guys who are guaranteed their roster spots.

    I'll say Woodhead.

I know it won't be Clowney, and I don't know jack s*** about the others.

    Woodhead wins by default.

I think when Holmes and Edwards (if he gets one) come back from suspension our WRs will be:

    Holmes
    Edwards
    Cotchery
    Smith
    Clowney
    maaaybe 1 more guy

I see Woodhead and Davis making the team if Holmes and Edwards are suspended.
Woodhead needs to learn how to run routes and be a shifty runner, Davis needs to be more consistent with his hands... out of the two I think Davis is the one who'll improve first. So he gets my vote.

I also think Davis has more ST potential fwiw...

The other interesting duel is Allison vs Clowney... I think Clowney will win it hands down... at least I'm rooting for him! I don't get the hate for him, he's made strides as a person considering his retarded twitter outings last year. Hopefully it translates on the field (especially in training where he didn't give 100%)

the guy rex picks to fill in for holmes this season is the same guy rex plans on promoting to 3rd receiver next season (to fill in for holmes or braylon).

Danny Woodhead will remain on the Jets for 2010 because of Holmes' suspension. There is no room for Woodhead once he returns except for the Inactive list, but he will still be on the team.

I still think Aundrae Allision has a great chance to beat out David Clowney in camp for a roster spot, too.

Clowney is still so popular and has really done nothing. Maybe he shows something but he has to be in risk of being cut at this point

    Silly Question-

No evidence?? It's the same unit we had all of last year, Holmes is the new piece of the puzzle.

Do you guys really expect Braylon to get suspended? I haven't heard anything about that in a while. Did he really knock out "LeBron's friend"? Thought it was less extreme than that. "LeBron's friend" probably called Braylon a pretty boy or something. The whole thing is just stupid.

It hasn't been mentioned recently and I'm not sure it is going to be but he did wind up getting probation for it which tells me there is a chance that it could happen.

Maybe they're just waiting until Hard Knocks. Should make for some nice TV drama.

Lots of love for the Clown. I really don't see him surviving this TC. Disappears during the regular season and Westhoff absolutely hates him as a ST player. I think someone steps up big and takes his spot.
