Jesus H. Christ. This is going to go get old really fast, but I feel like have to do this:

John Conner should not be looked at as a fullback RIGHT NOW. Tony Richardson has that spot locked down until he decides to retire. Conner will be on the active roster for every game - I'm calling it right now. He's one of the premiere special teams players in the country. The guy's a tackling machine.

Conner should be viewed as a special teams linebacker this season. I think he'll have a hell of an impact on that unit.

He'll fill a spot that used to be filled by Ryan Fowler, Larry Izzo, or Jason Trusnik.

I forgot where, but I read that he can be used in 2 TE sets as well. He reportedly has great hands and obviously can block.

HORRIBLE move! Another one of my favorite players traded, and for NOTHING. A 5th rounder? And giving up a 7th? Wow.

Do not forget the other maniac the Jets signed......Lance Laury.

The Jets special teams should be ok this year. Even with the loss of Leon and Wright.

I brought up Lance Laury a few times in the draft forum. His signing flew under the radar.

With Conner and Laury, our special teams should improve. Now we just need to find a quality gunner to replace Wallace Wright. Hopefully Donovan Warren can be that player.

It seems as if Leon was represented by a couple of major idiots.

    His wife and Alvin Keels.

Good Riddance to someone who thinks Leon deserves to get paid after that injury

So a fifth rounder is nothing but giving up a seventh is a major mistake? Great logic there.

Coming out of college as prospects:
    Joe McKnight > Leon Washington

John Conner is going to be a phenomenal special teams player until T-Rich retires and then he is going to be a phenomenal FB in his place. For a 5th rounder, that's a great value.

that might be the first time anyone has ever accused RobA of posting anything even remotely similar to logic.

What good is Leon Washington going to do you when skynet becomes self aware and the machines come for us?

    We need John Connor.

Is it just me, or does anyone else automatically read sentences about John Conner in the Terminator voice?

This was definitely a good move. Leon's injuries are going to be very hard to come back from entirely. He'll be able to compete, but he won't be what he was.

She's pissed because she's leaving the greatest city in the world, and has to live where it rains 80% of the year.

I'd be pissed too. And they are on a team that is rebuilding.

E, you just need to copy that and to save you the time of retyping it 1000 times between now and opening day, just copy paste anytime this argument comes up.

Conner is going to be a stud, Leon no longer had a place on this team, he was not going to return kicks with Mcknight and Smith still here, He lost the PR job before the season last year to Leonhard, now Wilson will take that spot, LT had taken the #2 RB role Green the #1, he wasnt going to be healthy week 1, or possibly at all, his agent is a dickhole and Leon flat out didnt want to be here anymore as evidenced by not taking a very fair contract last year, then getting pissy when the jets only tendered him with a #2 in hopes somebody would bite. Then he went and skipped out on voluntary stuff, and was the ONLY guy who refused to show up.

Leon wanted out, we gave him what he wanted and to top it off, we managed to get the best FB in the draft, who just so happens to be a superior ST player. This guy is going to become a fan favorite very fast with the combination of his play and his totally awesome name.
