i've never seen so jet fans agreeing about something. even the holmes pick there were more who were against us took the BPA at a position that dictates the rest of our gameplan, very awesome. we can still get a solid DE or pass rusher in the 2nd round.
I have no issue with Wilson at all. And yes, Robinson was inconsistent, had lapses, no doubt. I just feel that if that can get put together by Rex then the upside can be real high, and the potential is there. Just MO...Again, I like Wilson.
Hahaha, I'm flattered. Here was another one from 5 days prior to the one you posted: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=1655905&postcount=12 I'm so fucking stoked about this pick.
i dont follow ncaa football outta curiosity, if both wilson and the kid the pats took from rutgers were on the board @29, do we still take wilson? i know the kid from rutgers got alot of talk on sny prior to the draft as a possibility for us, but maybe that is cause they assumed wilson would be gone?
As Jets fans aren't we supposed to hate our picks? Great pick but now we really need to address OL/DL depth.
McCourty's good, but Wilson was expected to go top 20. I would have taken Wilson in that situation 10 times out of 10.
After Gholston I'm done with getting the guys with potential who need to be pushed. I rather go with the guy who is a player and loves football.
Tannenbaum said Wilson falling to No. 29 was "dream scenario." http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/23/sports/football/23jets.html What a freakin' night fellas! I love this franchise.
Umm... really? While the fins could use a 3-4 NT (i was gonna be really pissed if Dan Williams fell to you), you guys have no use for a DE as Merling and Langford are both decent starters. While Wilson will be behind Revis and Cro on the depth chart, at least he will see the field on a lot of plays in Nickel/Dime packages. Besides, our defense is so stacked we could afford to take BPA. Odrick is a great player but you don't use a first rounder on a rotational player when you obviously have other pressing needs to fill. And don't get me started on Hughes, the guy seems like the second coming of Vernon Gholston.
Hah I love this quote by Rex: "When a reporter’s tape recorder wailed at the beginning of a news conference, Ryan quipped, “I think that was the receivers crying.”"
