Nope, Ryan knew what he wanted before the draft. Many said he would get a safety/cornorback and he followed through. I can see us trading up to get a DE now. We'll see.
..check out good You Tube video...looks like a player!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-d2C-9x6gA&feature=related
This bumps Lowery down to 4th on the depth chart, and Drew Coleman hopefully off the roster. The less we see of Lowery the better.. we all saw how badly he was abused in that Colts game when he had to play every down. He's better as a part time player.
I would have liked to add some depth to the D-Line, but I'm not gonna complain with Wilson. As was mentioned before, this is a pass-happy league and we have 3 VERY good corners.
No, I don't think a 36 year old LB would impract our style if we really wanted Kindle. I just know Rex loves his CBs and it was awesome value.
Liked the pick. It was between Hughes, Kindle, and Wilson for me. I didn't really care which one was drafted. However, Wilson isn't going to be the guy who puts us over the top and helps us beat the Colts/Saints/Patriots. It's all up to Sanchez and the offensive gameplan.
The two best things about this pick: 1.) No more Drew Coleman 2.) He gets to learn under the best CB in the NFL in Revis, and the best DB coach in the NFL in Dennis Thurman
I had a feeling they wanted another CB and Wilson was my favorite then McCourty. It wasn't a big need but just imagine The best corner in football, Cromartie and now this kid. Teams are going to have nightmares passing on us. Nice pick!
Yep, this is the guy Rex wanted.. we were linked to him for a while now. And in Rex we trust. He wanted corner, we got one of the top 2 in most people's opinions. Very good guy to add to our secondary. Now if Cromartie is a bust or if he leaves in free agency, we have options for 2011. For 2010 we now in theory have 2 very good corners, 1 all-world corner, and a useful part in Lowery. Not bad.
Yeah WTF was with that ? I had Haden, Wilson , McCourty then Kareem Jackson. Fucking Happy we got Wilson, Kid's a stud.
Cant knock the pick I had a feeling he would be too much to pass on. I'm curious if Ordrick was there if we would have taken him instead?? I kinda doubt it thought Wilson was just too much value at 28.
100% agree on both posts. Hard to decide which one is more important though.. hopefully we never have to see Coleman out there again.
Here's what WalterFootball has to say about this pick: 29. Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State How did the Jets obtain one of the top cornerback prospects in the 2010 NFL Draft at No. 29? Insane. (Pick Grade: A)
