Jason Taylor - How Many Sacks?

  1. The first time he sacks an opponent, he's one of ours.

    21 vote(s)
    21.6%
  2. Once he takes Brady down all is forgiven. The past is the past.

    35 vote(s)
    36.1%
  3. Five. That way I know he's really trying and not a teal and orange spy.

    10 vote(s)
    10.3%
  4. Ten minimum. I hate the guy but I can cheer his tenth Jets sack.

    21 vote(s)
    21.6%
  5. Only if he takes down Brady, Henne, and Peyton on the same play. I will never applaud Jason Taylor.

He has 80,000 fans in green and white calling into question his parentage, his sexual proclivities, his eating habits and god knows what else at least once a year for the last ten years, and in return he makes a suggestion that some of them might not be captains of industry. I think we can at the very least call that a fair tie and give him the chance to help our team, dontcha think?

Which means that 3/4 do and therefore the 1/4 are simply a vocal but irrelevant minority, no?

    Yes. Yes, they should.

He's now a member of the New York Jets, love him or hate him. You should respect that.

yes, and he is telling us to get over it when I hardly even see any complaining. I actually think 1/4 is too high. probably 5% of us dont want him.

Yep. Me too. Not popular, but I've never been a fan of that either.
Fuck it, the man has come to us to play and whatever has gone on before, I'm big enough to get over it. JT is big enough, good enough for me, good enough for Rex, good enough for Tanny and Woody.

Fair enough. I have more objection to people like Marshall, Vick and Roethlisberger than I do someone like Taylor, but as someone rightly pointed out a while ago, at the end of the day we're just cheering for laundry.

Re: Welcome to Gang Green-Mr. Taylor

That's actually a great point. We expect players to keep their mouths shut when we shit on them, but maybe it shouldn't be a huge deal when they fail to.

I think it's great how he pointed out how it drove the Dolphins players crazy that when the Jets played down there there "was always a ton of Jets fans" in the stands.

If he put a Phins jersey tomorrow, I would hate him with every cell in my body, but since hes wearing our green and white, I'll be cheering him.
If I were a team mate of JT, the last thing I would want to hear is our own fans booing him.
For years we have been called classless, don't perpetuate the reputation.

Jason Taylor - How many sacks will it take?

Jason Taylor was a despised opponent if there ever was one, a sworn enemy of the New York Jets and their fans. It is unbelievable that he was signed to play here.

How many sacks will it take for you to cheer him as one of our own?

I meant to title the poll this way - sorry...

How about "Washed Up"? . To be fair, I would nickname Tory Holt "Really Washed Up".
