His future is in the pen, Gee has been really impressive so far at AAA, He will following Davis to the show in the near future.

I don't get how Pujols missed that pitch.

Maine had nothing this inning, and Holliday and Rasmus made him pay.

Nice to hear that Hershiser is as much of a crappy announcer as Miller and Morgan. And how the hell did Miller win the Frick Award? Talk about making an honor meaningless for everyone who came before.

    maybe not.

La Russa leaves Wainwright in to hit in the bottom of the 8th, and he slugs a double down the left field line.

Gotta admit, I'm not feeling it - I can see the Cards going ahead right here.

As soon as he hit that double I said to myself "I doubt anyones gonna get a hit JUST because the pitcher just showed them up." I hope I'm right.

And Jerry Manuel once again outmanages himself into a (probable) loss.

Ludwick makes it 5-3 with his first homer of the season.

Can't really blame Jerry that much for this (probable) loss, If Maine could go 6 innings for once in his life, Stoner could've been in there for 2 IP.
Or if the Met's could learn how to adapt to seeing that fucking curveball at SOME point they'd still be winning.

Maine's shortcomings of course put the Mets in a bad position, but that has nothing to do with Manuel's incompetence. He is obsessed about not letting Feliciano face a righthanded hitter, and it has cost the Mets many times in the last two years.

To be honest, I think Feliciano was gonna give up a hit anyway..

A good baseball team would have one this game tonight, Jerry Manuel or not. This sucks.

See, that's exactly the point - the Mets aren't a good team (thanks to Minaya), so they need their manager to maximize their chances of winning through some ability of his own. Manuel has none.
