I fell asleep from the 4th to the 7th inning, but I watched the rest.

Everyone expects the Red Sox to make the playoffs, and they are 4-7, just like the Mets. Are they out of it too?

(Not directed at you, just in general)

I know this isn't what you mean, but I don't see the Red Sox making the playoffs this year..I would've said that before the season even started if someone asked me that though.

not everyone expects Boston to make the playoffs. They're weaker than last year. I'd say a majority of people predicted Boston to make the playoffs, but:

a)vast majority picked the yankees to win the divison
b)a good number picked tampa bay to win the wild card

but regardless of their current record, they have a much better shot at the playoffs than the Mets.

Everyone should do themselves a favor and NOT look at our line-up tonight. You just don't want to know. Trust me.

Sunday lineup: Reyes, Cora (2b), Wright, Catalanatto (1b), Francoeur, Matthews, Barajas, Pagan, Maine

Via Adam Rubin's twitter. That's right folks, Frank Catalanatto's our clean-up hitter!

And I'm happy Mike Jacobs is gone, but I don't want Ike Davis coming up too soon.

it's not that much out of the ordinary except of course sitting Bay and batting Catalanatto cleanup.

Castillo isn't good anyway, so taking him out isn't a big deal.

But wow, when Frank Catalanatto is batting cleanup for you, you have problems.

Why the fuck are we batting Catalanatto cleanup? Does Jerry wanna extend the lineup? He's wasting ABs on players that won't be able to do shit in important hitting situations.

Gah, should've been a strikeout, but now it's a man on second for Pujols with one out. Poor Maine

two errors by St. Louis on one play.

Mets score three on a base hit by Pagan!

    he fought back from 0-2

The throw from right went past Molina, backed up by Wainwright, who badly overthrew first base.

Joe Morgan is such a moron. He basically just argued that it was good that Pagan ran himself into what should have been an out, because by doing so he somehow encouraged Wainwright to make an error by throwing the ball away, resulting in the run coming in.

Miller just called Maine "Brent Maine".

Maybe he was thinking of former Mets backup catcher Brent Mayne.

Maine can't seem to make it out of the 4th and his pitch count is about 100. Exactly what was needed after last night.

The Stoner is warming up. Only guy in the bullpen who could give a few innings tonight.

Seriously, when's the last time Maine has made it past...6 innings? or 5 even.
