Crazy game, I had to leave to go to diner at a friends house in the 10th inning. I did not expect to see the game still on when I got home at 10:20! got to see the last 2 innings, sweet win, but I can't believe K-Rod blew his first save chance!
At least the teams get like 20 hours in between games because tomorrow's game is the nationally televised ESPN game.
yo....fuck the game, this thread was epic. A mod should seriously sticky this thread. I just laughed hysterically like five times, because I was in a restaurant/bar for most of the extra innings and you guys brought me back to everything I saw. 2 things... 1) How the fuck does anyone (i.e. Castillo or Wright) swing at any of Mather's pitches considering the guy couldn't throw a strike? 2) How does Rodriguez pitch to Molina with a fucking bum waiting on the on-deck circle? Matter of fact...what the fuck is he doing pitching to Pujols, period? Actually... 3) What is Jose Reyes doing swinging at a 3-1 pitch in, I don't know let's guess, the 14?, in a 0-0 game??? The pitch wasn't even close. You need to get on base, why the fuck are you swinging? When does a coach lean in and say, "uhhh, Jose, 3-1 count, extra inning, take the pitch."? When the fuck does that happen? GREAT THREAD THO. Thread of the year so far, IMO.
Agreed this thread had me laughing and crying all night, just like the game. Terrible win, but hey a win is a win is a win. Our pitching hasn't been awful. If that continues maybe we play 500 ball, or possibly sneak into the playoffs.
