If anything Manuel has directly contributed to Francouer's hot start, and is the reason Francouer has 7 walks already. Agreed. Castillo's done, he had his last good year last year I think. I was on the fence with GMJ (hated what they gave up for him, didn't mind getting him), but he's been brutal thus far. Jacobs has been shit as well. It'd be nice if he would pick it up, but it doesn't look like he will.

They just showed a shot of Castillo in the on deck circle, and he gave a kid in the front row (who's guardians appeared to be Cards fans) a little pound. Classy move by Luis. Reyes hits one right back at the pitcher, that he juggles and snags. No luck.
His bullpen use is questionable, but he does really good work with the hitters, as does Hojo. this has been one of those games (by the looks of it, i've missed most/heard most on the radio) where things just don't give for either team.) Last night he shouldn't have needed to go to Valdes, Nieve was 0-2 on two seperate batters and gave them both away. Most managers are questioned alot for their bullpen use, especially when things aren't working out.

This is an epic game. The mets are showing exactly how not to pick up a struggling pitching staff thats actually been pitching well for a series.

Lil bit, but he's known for looking like he will never hit the ball again for a few weeks, and then going on a nasty tear Schumaker gets on, with a ball that just barely gets above Reyes, who made a super high jump to try and catch it. If the roles were reversed, it would have been low enough for the Cards SS to catch it.
not good. Shitty end to a long painful game. Good Pitching tho. 3-8 to start. I think if the pitching continues we could play 500 ball this season.
