Nate Allen isn't going to be available when we pick in the 2nd round.

I'm convinced the Jets are trading, at least twice during the draft. I see them wanting Graham, Odrick, or Cody at 29, and I think they'll all be gone. I keep trying to convince myself for McCourty or Joseph there, but I can't pull the trigger. It's similar to last year when I couldn't find anyone for the Jets to take at 17, and they moved up to 5.

McCourty is a great pick at 29. We can trade back for Joseph if Tannenbaum doesn't like the value at 29. I really don't want a 1 or 2 pick draft this season.

I think the Jets drop back a couple picks and take either McCourty or Joseph. Ideally, I would want two of a cornerback, DL, and pass rusher from the first two rounds. I don't like most of the options in late round two. Ideally, the Jets can drop back in round one and then move back up in round two and end up with two mid-high 2nd round picks.

It would be a good idea to trade down to get some draft picks for depth purposes. I see us needing depth at TE, OL, DL, LB, and DB. That covers a lot but some I can see us spending draft picks on and some not.

We'll probably target TE Mickey Shuler (as others have stated) either in the 7th or after the draft. There are plenty of guys of his caliber in the back end of the draft so no point in spending a pick on him.

We definitely could use some depth along the O-line as Faneca and Woody are getting up there in years. We drafted Slauson last year but we don't really have anything else to speak of.

We're most likely getting a 5-tech defensive end with one of our first few picks but Ellis and Jenkins are both getting up there in age. Sione Pouha was solid last season after Jenkins went down.

I doubt we spend a pick on an ILB because of the success Rex has had with UDFAs like Bart Scott or Adalius Thomas. Jason Taylor is supposedly going to sign but we could still draft another pass rusher.

We'll probably also use an early pick on a safety but Rex loves corner and I see us drafting at least one corner in the draft. Figure out how many picks we'll need to take care of all of that.
