i selected the Graham/Allen pick. Only because i wouldn't care if the Jets took a box of nachoes along with Graham....Graham is a beast. Allen is a great pick too.
Graham/Allen really doesn't seem likely. If somehow we end up with Graham, my guess is that 2nd round pick is part of the package. Packaging 29 and 61 gets us to about 17-18 according to the chart. That's Graham territory by most accounts as it stands. Based on the past few years, my guess is our actual first two picks aren't even listed in that poll.
Someone just call mike Tannenbaum and ask him what were doing on draft day. Did anyone think to do that?
I think we should trade our first round pick for Doug Jolly and a mid 2nd. Then we can go after what we really need, which is a kicker.
Trade Leon and a 6th round pick for a 3rd and a 5th 1st Linval joseph 2nd Alex Carrington 3rd Guard or Tackle 4th Reshad Jones Safety 5th Charles Scott ( I wouldnt mind taking a shot on Blount but at this stage in the game with all our problem child signings I would rather not take another head case 7th Punter Quick Mock what do you think IMO this hits all of our needs in this draft
Both are god awful, IMO. Are there any punter worth drafting in this draft? Really, I don't. Everything else I like.
LaGarrette Blount might have some character concerns, but he's certainly not god awful. In my opinion, Blount's the most physically gifted power back in this draft class... Also, Charles Scott had a hell of a career in the SEC. He's not too bad either. If we can land either of the two late in the draft, it'd be a steal.
Does Reshad Jones really fall to the 4th? That'd be a steal if he did. I'm also not confident that we can get more than a 3rd for Leon; if anything, we may get less. Maybe Leon and a 5th (which I know we don't have) for a 3rd and a 6th is more realistic.
I don't think Reshad will fall to the 4th unfortunately. He'll probably go in the 2nd or 3rd. Garrett Lindholm (K) is projected for the 4th or 5th round. I wouldn't mind picking him in the 4th. He hit a 64 yard FG in 2009 and went 3 of 4 from 60+ on Pro Day. I think we need to take our kicking game more seriously than relying on Nick Folk. Could be the difference in getting to the playoffs and even the superbowl.
Sweet Jesus Awesome. I don't think I could handle the joy. I would have to kill a newborn to balance it out.
U think Devin will be available in the second round? I think the OP asked to pick a player we would draft in the 1st, and a one in the second round.
What's not logical is your question. If you actually read what I wrote, you would realize my issue with drafting Joseph at 29 has NOTHING to do with it being a reach. I don't think him at 29 is a reach; he has 1st round talent. Since you apparently missed it, I'll repeat it. I just don't like rewarding guys who did not play up to their talent in college by drafting them in the 1st. So basically if we traded down to the 1st pick in the 2nd round and picked him, I would be fine with that. Hardy is projected to go as high as the 2nd and as low as the 4th but is considered as a 3rd round pick for the most part. Picking a projected 3rd rounder at the bottom of the 2nd is not that much of a reach. Especially when said player was considered a top 15 talent only a year ago and had a sub par season because of injuries not lack of effort.
This is a great question and really shows the depth this year. I went McCourty / Carrington because I see #3 cb as a big hole hole but I would love Graham / Allen and I like Joseph / McCluster too. I can't wait for Thursday night.
