I feel that man, I'm from the Berkshires in Western Mass. Also a Yankees, Rangers, and John Starks fan... And people thought pimpin ain't easy.
It's laughable that the Fins fans think they deserved to be in the spot we were in last year because they were the "better" team by beating us twice. They think they got gipped and the Jets got "lucky" with the Colts and the Bengals. I constantly remind them how they choked against the Steelers at the end of the year and how that playoff spot was up for grabs...they usually reply with a "Rex is fat" (not true anymore) or predict how it won't happen again. I am confident Rex will squish the fish next season, gimmicky offenses don't win games consistently. Plus we don't have Rhodes as liability this season.
The general informed consensus is that the Jets are serious title contenders. There are no guarantees but this team does have a lot of talent and a coach that a lot of people believe in. Obviously, only time willl tell, but it's very hard to look at this team right now and not see them being a playoff team next year. It should be fun.
Strangely it seems most 'intelligent non-bandwagon-jumpers' think that way. Its certainly like that here. Its the last place I thought we would get any respect, so props to those fans. As for the OP, let it go over your head.
I never cared what opposing fans thought of the team before, and I'm not going to start. Let them hate. I just want the team to win.
Those Dolphin fans crack me up ... Their team was 7-9 last year after "beating" us twice. That means they were 5-9 against the rest of the league. The last time I checked, that means they sucked. And ... getting back to the head-to-head meetings ... anyone who knows the smallest amount of football would know that we destroyed them man-on-man in the second game. We kicked their asses all over the field that day, and they were extreeeeeeemly luck to get a W. If we played the same way against them every game for the next 20 years we would go 39-1 ... garunteed. Their defense is a tragedy, and our offense is going to be loaded this year. I expect to beat them twice without much trouble.
All last baseball season I saw post after post about how the Yankees sucked, and how they'd never the World Series. All winter I've seen people say the Yankees suck and will do nothing this year. Today, after having already beaten Boston and Tampa Bay twice each, they collect their '09 World Series rings. Let the haters hate. They're usually wrong.
Do you think that if we claimed Taylor from them it would be more to our favor, or do you think they are more scary of team without him and possibility a draft pick playing his spot?
For every one of these jackasses, there's a fan of another team who loves Rex and admires the old Ground 'n' Pound. Also, I've been looking for a place to post this, so I'll just throw it in here.
All I gotta say about this is... Haters wanna hate, lovers wanna love, I don't even want none of the above ... I wanna pissss on you
