He didn't really say much other than Cromartie and Lt are working hard to fit into the team and that Rex Ryan could keep Saddam Hussein toeing the company line if he was a Jet.

 

Saddam Hussein hasn't been much of a problem ever since they killed him.

 

I believe he said that hypothetically.

 

It actually told me plenty when I watched it last night. The Steelers actually sought the Jets out to make this trade. In-conference, for what appears to be peanuts.

I thought the idea of a wink-nod agreement between the Jets and Steelers was kind of laughable at first, but after watching that, if Leon signs the 2nd round tender, I would not be surprised at all to see a draft day trade in which Leon goes to Pitt for a 4th in 2010 or 2011.

 

I thought the same thing.....I also caught what might have been a little slip from MT. I forget the exact words he used, but it gave a clear impression that Holmes has been here for a week or more already. Interesting if the trade only happened Sunday night.

 

I think I know what you are talking about - I had to replay it.

He said what sounded like 'Santonio has done everything we've asked of him for the past week'. In actuality, he said 'Antonio [Cromartie] has done everything we've asked of him for the past week.'

If you're talking about something else, I didn't catch it.

 

Sounds like he just messed up Antonio with Santonio...

That does tend to quieten people down a bit...

 

If half of these guys end up working out it would be an insane off season. Imagine LT playing like he used and Cromartie playing like he did two years ago...the team would be insane..let alone Holmes ..sick stuff Tanny
