If you're afraid of the 6th seed, then what are you going to do when you go up against the 1 or 2 seed?
I think that Rex would do whatever it takes to get the Jets a tin cup, if that means doing a 'colts', then I think it wouldn't be out of the question. Horribly worded poll though.
Do not twist it. I was referring to those Patriots fans who very specifically indicated that Belichick was afraid to face the Steelers in the Wild Card round. You saw the comments, too. Addendum: Yes, I can see Ryan doing the same thing, too. I wrote as much in the other thread. These are two separate issues, though. Issue A (which is what this thread is about): purposefully losing a game to avoid playing a certain team in the playoffs due to fear Issue B: takin' it easy in a season finale to hopefully not get anyone hurt
Isn't it ironic, don't you think? I'm still waiting for a post of substance from you. Dierking: obnoxious ___ with no substance and very, very, very occasionally some style with his one-liners. You have about a 20% success rate with your one-liners. Meanwhile, even in throwaway offseason threads such as this one, I create all sorts of buzz. Look around. All the clowns are here. MrElectric totally missing the point, TommyGreen and GreenMachine talking about male asses, Scikotics, yourself with your garbage, etc. Look, I don't mind occasionally acquiring an hour of free time on a Saturday afternoon to create this type of thread. If you looked around, you'd find that this was in response to utter garbage from Patriots fans.
Hey, I can throw out arbitrary percentages too! This thread has a .5% chance of actually acquiring any substance with the OP spending most of his time calling out other posters who point out how FOS this thread is.
Cakes said something mean about me (and my garbage) on the internet a week ago. Don't you clowns think for one minute I've forgotten about it, because I haven't. If you looked around, you'd see that.
if the pre-game media was saying rex should throw the game to ensure a better playoff picture, then i think rex would do everything possible to WIN the game just to preserve his reputation as 'we fear no one' mentality. he may pay for it later in the playoffs, but for that one game that everyone was talking about, he would NOT play to lose it.
How nice is it to have a coach that can convince people to come to the Jets in ways other than throwing money at them? It was funny when John Clayton said Jason Taylor has changed his mind about playing for the Jets because he got "Rexed". There have to be a lot of teams out there that are wishing they didn't pass him up last year. Its a great time to be a Jet fan. I wish the draft was today and the season started tomorrow.
