Bumping these threads makes very little sense. Some fan on the Internet wants to vent, big fucking deal. That's the fun of posting on a message board. I'm dumb enough to be here if they don't win a game all season, but that's just me. If someone wants to vent, then so be it, it's a free country. If someone wants to relinquish being a fan during one of the outbursts, however, then I see a problem, but again, that's just me.
and some people have nothing better to do than waste a bunch of time writing some incoherent thoughts because they are a little upset. it's all a wash in the end.
Sure, express your anger and frustration. But don't come up with rash conclusions. Even you knew at the time that we would win a few more before the season ended. We had a pretty good team even before the season started. This thread is a great lesson for you next time and Im glad it took place. Maybe others will take a note too. I hate it when people write up such stuff after a loss. Having said that, when does this thread gets locked?
Honestly I agree with you, I've never had reason to think your a shitty poster. Even though I may not have agreed 100% with you at the time you made this post I was nearly on board with you.
we all post here when the team plays like shit. the difference between a good thread or poster and this shit is that instead of just saying something dumb like the jets wont win another game this season you should have identified what specifically you thought was the problem. at that point you make a thread state your opinion maybe reference a few plays that you believe prove your point about whatever your issue is. that type of thread would have created genuine discussion about the team and would have been something worth giving a serious response too. an overly emotional rant just sets you up for mockery.
It cant get locked soon enough. I over course knew we where going to win more game my point is I had lost confidence in the team. They earned it back. The jets can get me a little crazy sometimes is that a bad thing? It means I care.
I made a bunch of points in the op. Making a rash statement is about being pissed and stirring the pot.
When badge bumped this thread he was being a ahole and not bring anything positive to the board. I think this kinda of crap should come with a warning and if he does it again give him a time out. Bumping old threads is just bullshit
those were pretty general points that i could have gotten from some national reporter who hadn't watched a jets game all season. the oc stop making dumb pay calls- we were all on the same page on his double reverses and shit but i assume this point would go deeper than that. what playcall or calls specifically stuck out in the game that really irritated you? the defense learns how to tackle- the defense was ranked at the top of the league all season, so while they probably did make some bad plays this point is probably based more on emotion after a disappointing loss. we learn how to manage the clock- this a legit point that didn't need much of an explanation at the time. people catch the ball- very very very general point also made more out of frustration than this being a real major problem(except for braylon) we find ways to win rather then loose- seriously? and your thread title was made specifically to stir the pot and get people to look at your thread.
Is there any point to all this now? No. So I am not a good poster its not my strong point. Never was good with words. This post didn't need to be bump. Lets let it die. I wont post much anymore. I don't need friends here I have them in my real life.
You bumped it by posting again. Are you a mod? Anyway...it is fun to see what was said long ago sometimes for perspective. Perhaps I can bump one of my old threads about Favre.
I actually ran into Hoobash at a Phish show a few weeks after this..... GREAT Jets fan - Great music fan - Don't stop the posts!!! Besides, how was Hoob supposed to know all the opponents were going to rest their starters down the stretch???????????????????
I guarantee the Jets will lose this Sunday---on NFL Network , at least. They are re-running the Miami MNF game. We get to see their "orange out" again. Yay.
I'm going all in, ok? Moving all my chips to the center of the table: the Jets will rebound from this game, but they'll lose another (to NE) before they go on a roll. They will get in the playoffs... mark my words.
