If we just release Thomas then I will begin to worry, but until then, in Rex and Tanny I trust

He is a good run stuffer... but not the pass rusher I guess we are looking for...what this does is really piss me off about how much of a total bust Gholston is...it is insane that they can't get a beast like that to learn some moves and try to get to a qb...insane...6th over all and he is total bust.

they didnt sign vets for small, short term deals

they overpaid for players and gave them cap-crippling deals ... the jets are doing neither

What does this have to do with ghost? If he wasn't a bust the jets wouldn't be looking to trade BT?

Sigining Taylor and dumping Thomas saves the boss more $$$$. I can't believe we are getting cheap just when we finally build something

releasing thomas outright is retarded because we have no body behind him that has any proven playing experience. and we arent expecting there to be anyone stellar available at 29, its kind of crazy to think Taylor could be of any actual value...

If we get Taylor and Adalius Thomas, they'll be competing for playing time and Viagra endorsements.

Why do people insist on bringing in guys with names that haven't been good for at least a year? Isn't Tomlinson enough?

The kind that lets him know that no one will pay for Gholston's overblown rookie contract.

The only reason why I see them letting BT go instead of the Ghost is the guaranteed money. Woody ain't gonna flush $21mil down the dumper no matter how fckd up The Ghost plays. Tanny sure has been acting strange lately...

If they acquire another OLB via the first two rounds of the draft or free agency (Not Jason Taylor please) than I would have no problem if they cut Thomas

Not sure how likely it is, but if we could get a 5th round pick for Thomas id be pretty happy with that. especially with the Talent in this years draft, even in the 4th/5th rounds.

Thomas was one of the most improved players on the team last year..this reeks of the Tannenbaum that drafted Gholston.

Come on--Bryan is nothing special at OLB. He's ok on the run, but gives very little in terms of pass rush which is what the jets really need--As I recall the extension Mangini gave Thomas in 2006 was heavily front-loaded so about the only reason not to cut him is that we don't owe him that much in terms of salary. But Jason Taylor would be a big upgrade as far as pass rush over Thomas ( as would anybody else).

Why would the Jets just cut Thomas? That makes no sense. Thomas is not a dynamic player, not by any stretch. However, he is pretty good against the run and nowhere near bad enough to cut.

I have a better idea..... trade Cimini.
