Although a lot of the "risers" are on target, these three guys haven't been falling. The author doesn't like them as prospects and is just speculating that other GMs will see things the same way he does. Despite their problems, these guys all have lots of talent and you can't teach that.
Yeah... That's the point. Obviously they have lots of talent, but more than that goes into where someone is drafted. It's the guys who I think could get their names called earlier than expected or later than expected. Just my two cents.. Everyone else is providing theirs too. As fans of the draft, everything we write is pretty much speculation.
If the Jets had a need at weakside linebacker in the 4-3 I would love washington, he has great range and good coverage skills for a 4-3 outside linebacker

Personally I think it was because of his jersey number. Really how many athletic guys wear 66? His impressive showings at the combine and the Washington pro day (4.72 40, 37 vertical, 29 reps) forced many scouts to go back and reevaluate his game films. There is plenty film to look at as he was a four year starter. With the lack of athleticism disspelled, there's not much to not like. He loves football, he's smart, instinctive, technically sound, a playmaker, durable, has the measurables and the production (194 tackles, 47 for loss, all-time school leader with 30 sacks). In a nutshell he's the quintessential Bellicheck guy if I ever saw one. That would explain why the Patsies had him in yesterday for a visit. He's moved his stock up from the 6-7 rounds to the mid rounds and possibly higher.
There is little doubt that will happen. I've seen him go to Buffalo and fall as far as the Vikings. Safe bet is...he won't get past Jacksonville at 10.
I saw him given a free agent grade by a bunch of sites in the beginning of the college football off-season, but recently I've seen his stock rise to the mid-rounds.. He just screams "Mangini-guy"..... I can't believe I just used that phrase...
Like I said, most of your list is solid but i think those three will do pretty well for themselves on draft day.
Actually you may well be right re McCoy - he has gone from being a late 2nd early 3rd rounder to maybe being alate 1st round pick - and off the back of a fairly average pro day. Desperation is a powerful motivator!
