how come i can't find ESPN doing their video for On The Clock: Jets. It seems like they skipped over them because I can't find it on the website and they usually start with the last pick and work there way down
I haven't seen it..but I bet it was something like this. The New York Jets NEED A WIDE RECEIVER and could target someone like Golden Tate or Dez Bryant if they drop. They acquired Cromartie so that eliminates the need for a corner back, and they could use an OLB such as Brandon Graham or a DE such as Jared Odrick if they are around. They do have a need for a safety but their may not be one of appropriate value at 29. (I don't agree with the WR comment...but that's probably what ESPN thinks)
ESPN is going crazy because usually they start from pick 32, and they did but then after the Vikings they skipped to the Chargers and then never looked back maybe in their mind they just hate new york sports teams so much that they think the Jets dont have a draft pick
This is exactly why I started this topic, on there website it goes from the vikings to the chargers and so on... it makes no sense why they skipped the Jets
There is that^, and the fact that ESPN started their "On the Clock" feature before the team and HBO announced that the Jets would be on "Hard Knocks".
ESPN did do a feature on the Jets, but because of Hard Knocks I'm pretty sure they did take it down. But if you read 624's post, that pretty much sums up what they talked about verbatim.
yup whenever I see 'On the clock TEAM' it's just " blah blah blah blah they need a DE, blah blah blah this guy is old they need a O-Linemen, blah blah blah blah need a receiver to compliment so n so"
ESPN just played 'On The Clock New York Jets' Basically said Jericho Cotchery is fine, and Edwards needs to step up and be the guy to catch those deep balls. Get younger at Dline, and draft a WR to fill the 3rd WR spot. Video will prob be up soon.
nothing we didn't know. outsiders seem to really think we need to draft a wr with our first rounder, but I think Cotch and Edwards is a great combo. We don't usually run formations of 3 wide receivers anyways. Edwards will drop less balls as he develops chemistry with Sanchez. Remember, Edwards caught balls from at least 4 different quarterbacks when he was with the Browns, and the qb seemed to be changed every week or so. (brady quinn, ken dorsey, derek anderson, bruce gradkowski) I'm guessing we draft a DE with our 1st rounder, as Bryan Thomas is a fine run-stopper and we aren't looking to resign Marques Douglas. I heard Carlos Dunlap's draft stock fell with a bad combine and character issues, any truth to this? Regarding drafting a slot receiver, anyone know where Jacoby Ford (4.28 40 yard dash) is projected?
^ Jacoby Ford can't run a route to save his life. I'd go with someone else in the draft for the slot receiver role.
it was actually exactly like that. everyone seemed to be in agreement that sanchez was the real deal but he would still have struggles this season. edwards got shit on during the segment because of his drops.
