Good fucking riddance. Words cannot explain how embarassing it was for the JETS to play in GIANTS Stadium. That's fucking garbage, so pumped for the new MEADOWLANDS Stadium.

I hated playing there and I walked out of that Stadium cursing it many Sundays but I spent so many Sundays there in my life that I am a little sad to see it go.

There's the blue wall, I see we pulled up our green drapes before they knocked it down. Probably at the cleaners.

I was sad to see Shea go, we had a real home field advantage there...

No we didn't, I think our home record at Shea was worse than at the meadowlands. We were lower than 2nd class citizens at Shea having to start some seasons w/ 5-6 road games.

Absolutely and no Yankee Stadium. So many memories in all of those buildings.

OK Junc let's not start another Namath debate...I'm talking about the crowd, I was there, there was 63,000 maniacs at every game, I know the mets were kings there...

Our record was worse because the team was horrible, that doesn't mean the crowd sucked...

There were a lot of blackout games at Shea from lack of sellouts and support, which ended in 1978 when we finally got at least to 8-8. Of course its a totally different era of football and life now than it was then, but at least Giants Stadium we sold out every game--who knows, we might not sell out the new place.

Thank God. I hated watching the Jets play in GIANTS stadium.

Now we're officially passed the Same Old Jets era.

When I was a kid only a few games from Shea were ever on TV because the Jets went 3-11 in 1975, 76 and 77 and the games didn't sell out 72 hours in advance. In 1978 it wasn't until the New England game in November that it was finally on TV, after 1978 they were almost always on.

I didn't say the crowd sucked, I'm saying our record was worse at Shea than at the meadowlands. We had alot of bad teams while playing in the meadowlands too so I can't buy that excuse.

Where did I bring Namath up?

We were treated worse at Shea by the Mets than we were at GS by the Giants.

Really wish the Jets would have gotten their very own stadium. This is still 16 road games to me. Thanks to the Dolans, Sheldon Silverstein, Mike Lupica for crushing Jets fans dreams. Oh yeah Jim Dolan how is that affordable housing product coming along that you planned to build where the Jets wanted their stadium? Exactly!!!!!
