Has New York tossed Super Bowl chances away ? by IRA KAUFMAN | The Tampa Tribune - Mar. 16, 2010 > http://www2.tbo.com/content/2010/mar/16/has-new-york-tossed-super-bowl-chances-away/sports-bucs/
you should rename the title... i was ready to bash another anti lt thread saying how we are going to suck next year.
thanks jets fans--your owner had to open his mouth and call the commish a cheater so now giants stadium will not be hosting a super bowl
Good for Woody! Goodell is a tosser of the highest order. If 'ol Roge' gets rocked by Woody's comment then hes an even bigger imbecile than I thought
i doubt woodys comments will have any effect on him. plus i think most the league wants to see it here at the new stadium. hey if it works out it may even become a regular event to host a superbowl in the north
Having the SB in New Jersey would suck! Having the SB in Foxboro, Pittsburgh, Cincy, Cleveland, etc.... would suck. Keep the SB where the weather is nice. If I have a chance to go to one someday, I want to party and play in the days leading up to the game. Plus, the game becomes more fluky. Let the best play the best in good conditions.
This. Last thing anyone wants to see is a SB decided in the howling wind and rain that is more than a distinct possibility in Jersey in February.
He called out Goodell for being the spineless shit that he is. A bitch would have taken it lying down. And I don't understand why people want the SB played in perfect weather, unless they're actually going to the game. Football is a fall/winter sport, the elements are part of the game - it doesn't need to be played in a bubble.
By that logic, we should ban domes. I'm more interested in seeing the skills of the two teams pitted against each other in the best conditions possible, not have the result of the game potentially skewed by random weather conditions.
I have to disagree completely. You may as well just hold the entire post season indoors if that is your logic.
