This is the best way to do this. I was afraid that for some reason they'd just award the Giants the honor of opening the stadium.
Jets, Giants Will Flip Coin for New Stadium Opener Great idea. I can't think of a fairer way to do this. Not really sure how we do on coin flips? http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/201...lands-Coin-Toss.html?_r=1&partner=rss&emc=rss
For some reason, it felt like the Jets always won the coin toss this past season. Hopefully that bodes well for us in this. But even if we lost, we'd probably get the week 17 game at home, which could be even better if we need a win for a playoff spot.
Re: Jets, Giants Will Flip Coin for New Stadium Opener The coin is heads on both sides and we were given the tails side on the flip. The giants are just making us think it's fair
How does a QB being over-rated, in your opinion, have any impact on his arm? Did Madden add some new kind of morale feature?
Didnt Fatcessa say that he knew for sure that the Giants would open the new stadium. That ass has no credibility.
I forgot about that - he did say that! He's such an ass. He just knew that since the giants are the only team that warrants respect in NY and the Jets are "blowhards" who don't have a very good defense, then obviously the giants would open it. He also said the Jets never play zone, literally a few hours after Revis said they were just playing zone.
I hope we lose, let the Giants workout all the bugs and be the first team to lose at the new place. I really could care less, I just don't want to open up against the Pats again. The main thing is we will close the new place for year one with a championship game in Jan. 2011
I am forecasting that we invite CP to flip the coin but he does not have the arm strength to do so...
I really don't care if the Jets open the season at home or not. I just don't want to play the Pats in the home opener for the 6th or 7th time in a row. It also amazes me how every thread on this board degenerates into a discussion on QB arm strength. If Eli's arm is so strong, let him toss the coin really really high. How strong is Drew Brees' arm, by the way????? I do know his right arm is quite a bit heavier lately with the SB ring on right ring finger, however.
