I think Coles still has something left in the tank. If I remember correctly, he caught something like 45 passes for 525 yards and 5TDs last season in a limited role. That seems like it would be pretty good production for our 3rd WR.
And what about when he decides something isn't to his liking? More unattributed quotes in the papers, goodbye lockerroom harmony. I say no.
Coles looked good against us in the postseason until he got hurt BUT those concussion problems aren't going away.
I could be wrong, but I don't remember any problems with him last year in Cincy. And if he becomes a problem, we can always cut him. He will most likely be signed to a 1-2 year deal with low guaranteed money.
He refused to talk to the media all year long in Cincy, but he obviously has a better relationship with the NY guys.
I wasn't aware of that, but it's probably better that he doesn't talk to the media since many think he was the "anonymous Jet" that always whined to the media
I'd bring back Coles in a heartbeat. In a group that includes Edwards, Cotchery, Keller, and Coles Sanchez would have a lot of success throwing the football. If Coles is willing to play slot, all the better. He does need to come back fairly cheap though.
Laveranues Coles intends to call Jets Rotoworld.com Be a nice 3. Not optimal, but a nice way to thank the guy for his time and temp fill a need.
Not sure how he'd fit in this new Jets regime, but as much as I hated his crybaby antics, I wouldn't be totally against picking him up.
He call, but I don't think he's a viable option for the Jets... he's no better than anything we already have.
I'm not sure I'd be cool with this. Coles has hands of glue, but a slot receiver needs to be able to go across the middle. He's a walking concussion. That would be a pretty scary pickup.
