Hopefully this doesn't turn into another Sheppard situation though where he's only on board for one year.

Also, I wonder if we had kept TJ if we could've pulled off a TJ + 4th or 5th instead of cutting him.

Jet fans might have to start rooting for a 2011 lockout!

I fully trust Tanny's ability to get all those deals done, that's what he does - he's a cap genius.

when Tanny has 3 rings, then he can be the MJ of GMs. I think he'd have to go to rebuild 4 other franchises too to be considered.

right now he's the hottest young GM in the game. Goddamn this guy is good.

Meh, I think he has a lot to re-prove, but it was a low price, so it's a good risk.

Don't know much about him, but he's 25 years old, and from what I'm reading, a good number two CB. Exactly what we need. Hope we now go for a Safety and a pass rusher and lock this defense up. Look at young NT's and LB's. I would like to pick up Rock Cartwright as well - hard runner with Greene.

Conditional 2011 is the key here.

If it was the 2010 2nd rounder, you'd have an angry mob heading towards Florham Park

I imagine the 2011 draft would just translate into the 2012 draft.

Remember the Chargers used to have a very good pass rush when Merriman was roided up. That's when he shined. Rex brings the heat.

This shifts Lowery down to our #3 CB, which is very good as well, he is a solid 2, and a great 3.

If Cromartie plays to his potential, how is anyone gonna throw against the Jets.

The last official NFL event before the lockout would be the 2011 Draft. So there's a draft next year whether there's a new CBA or not.

Man I am so skeptical about this we all remember the Antonio Cromartie fail thing that was on here forever. But I mean this guy has all the talent in the world, I dont know how we have Gholston who already has a poor work ethic along with Edwards who has his own concentration issues. I'm not really seeing the character in this team, I dont know where the leadership is. Look for that cost I cant really complain with his kind of upside but I dont like the character of the team. Look if it means we win super bowls I cant complain but for the time being I have some doubts

However, he can only be better than Lito Sheppard so in that respect God Bless him

    ..and then what? Exactly.

Either he sucks and the trade sucks or you add him to the list of Revis, Mangold, Edwards, Ferguson, Harris, Washington that need to get paid soon and to the guys like Faneca, Pace, Jenkins, Scott, Rhodes, Cotchery, Ellis, Sanchez, Gholston that are already getting huge money. Just don't see how it works.

he's an OK 2 with getting burned capability and a solid 3. Lowery is definitely going to do well in the nick.
