This time last year, who would have thought?

The thing I loved most was Sanchez's obvious delight at being taken by the Jets. Instead of some guy playing it cool and looking like he was entitled to that moment, Sanchez looked like a kid who just got exactly what he wanted on Christmas morning and couldn't believe it. I can't remember feeling that way about a drafted player before - I was completely sold on his attitude from the first second.

Thats what drew me in as well, nothing false about him. This attitude seemed to continue all the way through the season, hardly surprising that the O line love him. Even Stafford !

This time last year Rex was trying to get Bart Scott's dog to let go of his leg.

I remember liking the move, not because I like Sanchez per se, but I like the ballsy approach to getting a franchise QB for the future, as I thought they'd go with Clemens last year...amazing.

This clip put me in such a good mood. Can't wait to see Sanchez's growth this year and with the reigns off.

Hey, maybe they'll even add a couple of colours to the chart.

You just described my 4/25/09. I must have advocated us trading up for Sanchez for about three weeks before the draft, and everyone I spoke with told me I was an idiot. "He's a product of a great program...undersized...has never played in cold weather...Clemens needs to be given a chance..". Clearly, he still has much to prove, but last season certainly puts a smile on my face.

I remember that day very well, sitting, watching, and wondering.

Once they announced the trade and the pick thereafter I had permagrin for quite sometime.

Ummmmm? Did Sanchez prove anything this year besides that when when he throws he gets intercepted and that he needs a superb running game and defense to bail him out??

I am not SOLD on Sanchez and I don't know why you guys are acting like you are.
In all honesty I think he is a bust waiting to happen. He is not the future of the franchise and that is unfortunate b/c he'll be here at least another 3-5 years.

Aside from showing great footwork, mobility, ability to throw on the run, very good accuracy, and putting up the best rookie qb playoff performance in NFL history?

He wouldn't have good footwork if we didn't have such a good defense.

Even if that is true I don't see any reason to be sold on him. And why the fuck are you calling him accurate with a 50 percent completion percentage. Let's pull up his stats 12 tds 20 interceptions 2444 yards 63 rating. That SCREAMS franchise.

After a decent year and lucky run it's clear to me that the fans around here are drinking some very sugary green kool-aid.

Why don't we try not getting swept by the dolphins next year.

Have you proven that you are more than anything except a troll on this board?
We made it to the AFCC last season and you're bitching about two regular season games?

it's pretty obvious you didn't watch him play or are just being contrary to get attention. either way your act sucks. anyone who actually watched the team would know that sanchez had a few first class rookie meltdowns while playing the majority of the games at a respectable level.

So it's pretty obvious you're a Dolphins fan. There's nothing wrong with saying so, but pretending to be a Jets fan is gay.

He was very streaky in his ROOKIE season after only 16 college starts. That's to be expected. When he was on, he was very accurate. Many of those INT's came in a few games.
