Haha I love how they are all just ragging on the 40 and saying how useless it is after every decent, not great, time.
For the kid and the team that drafts him I hope so. Remember just because its a year round league and there is a ton of money involved does not mean players follow it like they should. Jamarcus Russell is a prime example often out of shape and not studying during the offseason. Our own Kris Jenkins used to jump up near 400 pounds in the offseasons. Players get in fight at clubs, run dog fighting rings, and sometimes litterally shoot themselves in the leg. Now I'm no saying Cody is a trouble maker like those examples, but pointing out that despite the money involved sometimes players are jsut stupid as hell. I have no idea about Cody's off feild personality nor do I claim to. I'm sure the teams are asking him a lot of prudent questions at the combine to try and figure out if he's in this for the payday or really loves the game like he seems to on saturdays.
Agreed. I really think he is going to be the stand out reciever out of this draft, in the NFL. I like him even more then Dez Bryant. Something about Bryant just has "bad vibe" written all over it.
+1 Jacoby Ford is a track star with football pads on. Here come the running backs... We'll get to see the complete opposite of Ford in CJ Spiller: a football star that runs track.
Hell yes, I'm happy with that. Most scouts considered him a 4.6 back. I'm anxious to see what CJ Spiller runs. If he runs in the 4.3s, then he'll solidify himself as the #1 back, but if he runs in the 4.4s, and Mathews consistently does too, then they'll be neck and neck.
Yeah I was really impressed with Matthews' time, and dissapointed with McCluster...but he looked to have some serious form issues.
