I still say pass rusher over cornerback in a vacuum.

A great pass rusher can make a lesser secondary look better. Then Rex wouldn't have to blitz as much or send as many guys, and he can be more creative.

Sure, another stud cornerback would be great, but great quarterbacks and schemes will find the open man.

A cornerback helps a little but hides the source of the problem.

A pass rusher fixes the problem.

Good post, but from what I have seen, there aren't many guys who would 'fix' that pass rushing problem at that 29th pick value.

We'll see come draft day. Guys' stocks will rise and fall a lot, for a variety of reasons, in the next few months.

    I'm worried you're right though.

Mack, I'm with you on improving the pass rush. I really think Ryan's complicated blitz packages made our secondary look a lot better than they were.

However, we're more than likely going to cut ties with Lito Sheppard and Donald Strickland, so we're going to see a few new faces in our secondary next year. I'm still waiting to see what happens with Kerry Rhodes.

I'm really disappointed Texas A&M's pass rusher Von Miller didn't enter the draft. He would've been my favorite prospect for the Jets at 29. I really hope the Jets look at Eric Norwood or Koa Misi at the end of the second.

If Brandon Graham falls to 29, then it's a no-brainer...We can only hope that happens though.

why wouldnt you franchise a kicker? hes our most valuable ufa this year. if you cant re-sign your most valuable ufa, you franchise him, regardless of position

See what I'm saying about Feely? It wasn't that he's not good enough... but his price tag doesn't gel with the team's other established needs... but signing Nick Folk... not happy about that.

I'm firmly a trade down guy, but I'd love to get a 3-4 lineman. The need there is desperate, CB is a close second. Did Pace really do that bad of a job? He looked good in the playoffs, had 8 sacks and 55 tackles and missed 4 games. He was real rusty the first 2 games.

Trade down and pick up a 3rd...Draft is shaping up to be deep for defensive players.

Its not Pace. He's the best pass rusher on the team, which really isn't saying much.

Its the other players who play the OLB position on the jets.

Devin McCourty or Kyle Wilson at 29 makes the most sense... We can get WR in a trade for Rhodes hopefully and take DE in Rd.2...
