I wouldn't mind LT on the Bills. He put up better numbers than "One more strike" Marshawn. You guys don't have a pressing need for him.
San Diego's running game has deteriorated every year since Norv Turner took over. either it is because LT simply got worse every year or because Norv's running schemes suck, but considering how LT went from great, to good to bad under him, it might be possible that LT still does have something left and Norv's running schemes are more to blame.
Either way, he looked like a shell of his former self. A few years ago, he was an AMAZING player to watch....... Unfortunately it seems that in the NFL the RB position seems to turn off like a light switch...... like an old worn transmission. :shit:
Maybe this means we will feel more comfortable if we wanted to cut TJ?.... ..nah it won't make any difference.
I'm not so sure he goes to the Pats. Everyone likes to say that the Pats are always the favorites to land the old, semi-declining former superstar players and expect them to revert back to servicable NFL players under Bellichick, Brady and co. However, it wasn't so long ago that LT was claiming that the Pats and Bellichick were absolutely classless. Then again, I may be completely wrong in assuming that that'll factor into any decision he'll make regarding New England...
He's done. The Chargers ran him into the ground by giving him the ball so often (he led the league in carries for a few years) a few years back.
Maybe, maybe not. I remember those type of comments made about Emmitt Smith this time 12 years ago. Smith was coming off his 8th season, a season in which he ran for "only" 1074 yards. The year prior to that one, he had a rushing average of 3.7 yards. There was a lot of talk in February 1998 about how Smith was done. Well, he wasn't done. He had three more 1200+ rushing yard seasons. Also, plenty of people wrote off Curtis Martin after the 2002 season. He gained 1308 yards in 2003. Then some people wrote him off after 2003. He led the league in rushing in 2004. Tomlinson will be 31 during the 2010 season. If he is used in tandem with another good back, he could be okay for a couple seasons. If his new team uses him as Kansas City used Marcus Allen, I betcha Tomlinson will be effective.
"I would never react in that way. I was very upset," Tomlinson said. "When you go to the middle of our field and start doing the dance Shawne Merriman is known for, that is disrespectful. They showed no class and maybe that comes from the head coach." Just saying.
Agree there. That's what I bought up just a few posts before. I'm not sure if LT to the Pats is sucha lock.
I'd actually like for the Jets to get their hands on Marshawn Lynch at this point. He's either at the bottom of the trough and ready to begin rising again or he's one more stupid mistake and out. The upside to all the issues the last few years is that Lynch is going to be 24 this year, the beginning of the 4 year prime for tailbacks, and he's only got 650 carries at this point. He could be a 1,500 yard back pretty easily and we know he can catch the ball.
This guy always seemed to kill me in fantasy football year after year. Can't believe he fell so far so quickly. Oh wait... Shaun Alexander... I forgot
