Draft!! That way the coaching staff grooms/mold a player into their liking! Plus its an awesome draft for WRs
I’ll admit, as much as it pains me too, I wanted Clemens to start the season. After watching the buffalo game, I quickly realized sanchez was the best qb on our team and Clemens, as much as I want him to be productive, is a joke. Having said that, it was nice to see the multiple receivers Clemens used in the tampa game. With Edwards and the cotch rocket, our top two receivers are as good as it can get and it is up to Sanchez to mature and utilize our other receivers. How many games did he only complete passes to the usual suspects? Even Keller wasn’t fully utilized until the 2nd cincy game. I don’t see any reason to use a high draft pick as long as Clowney and B. Smith are on the team , let them do what they do and lets use the draft for our o line or our d (imagine revis with an elite pass rusher).
Edwards is not a blazer and he does have that stone hands thing going from time to time. With a speed guy on the other side it would help out every aspect of our offense.
In today's NFL speed is useless unless you have route running ability... tell me who is a good WR just because he is fast... Clowney is fast, Allison is fast, Stallworth is fast... but they aren't exactly the best players in the NFL. Edwards can burn a lot of people.
I think the draft is the way to go here! Assuming Edwards is back new blood will have a little time to develop and contribute later in the year or next season.
I would hope we would draft or trade for a speed guy who can do all of the above. Edwards can burn a lot of people but if he is always getting double coverage because Cotchery can't get deep because he is slow and Clowney and all the others are just not good then that hurts everybody. We are a Sb contender for the first time in years and at some point as we say in the colts game Sanchez is going to have to be allowed to throw and he needs three good receivers to get it done. Look at the two Sb teams and they both have more than one receiver that can get down the field. That changes the game and opens up the running game.
Redskins released WR Antwaan Randle El. This one was a no-brainer. Randle El was due a $4.25M salary in addition to a $6.25M roster bonus. The Redskins are also looking to upgrade at the position, which left Randle El without a role. Though his playmaking days are in the past, the 30-year-old should draw interest on the open market as a quality slot receiver. via rotoworld
That would be a nice pick-up. He was always a great receiver here, but hopefully he won't cause locker room problems
He already has been, didn't you see the anonymous quotes from the locker room on TJ being cut? F'n guy does nothing but whine.
