Haha, that is awesome. I like Evan a lot; he's like a little puppy who goes after the bigger dog without any fear because he's so spirited.

McDonald's food is fucking awesome. If a double cheeseburger was nominated as a presidential candidate I'd vote for it. I feel that most of the people saying 'ugh, yuck! McDonald's is so disgusting!' are the 250 lb slobs anyway.
I'm a big Mets fan but the only reason NY isn't a football town (or at least not known to be as popular as baseball) is because the stadium is in New Jersey. CitiField get on the 7 train. Yankee Stadium get on a 4 train. Meadowlands... off the map. Think about it, the most serious Jets fans are passed on from previous generations. New Jets/Giants fans now are usually bandwagoners. Also football is much much more complex in all different levels. A big play in football is like a big week in baseball. For example, Tyree's catch or Giants final series... 1 series in the SuperBowl. Red Sox miracle come back against the Yankees... half a week.
My family isn't all that into football, and my dad seems to be more of a Giants fan than a Jets fan. I became a die-hard when I went to my first Jets game at around 7 years old and heard that J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS chant for the first time. I see your point though about bandwagoners, especially after that SB win by the Giants a couple of years ago. If (when?) the Jets win one we'll get a bunch of wagoneers that know who Mark Sanchez and Darrelle Revis are, completely forgetting about the 30 yrs of misery this franchise faced. The same way the Knicks will gain 4000% more fans when they sign LeBron.
Hahaha. I don't know if I'd call myself obsessed. As I've stated before, I usually listen on the internet, in which I have both the WFAN and 1050 players opened simultaneously; I mute one while the other is on, switching back and forth. I find him entertaining now because he's so off-base and partial, that it's funny to listen to. I don't really listen to him for facts/analysis/informaton/etc.
It's not false that I have the opinion that baseball is slow and it bores me. That is the absolute truth. I find baseball to be slow and boring. I am not only a football fan, but I coach youth lacrosse and have a son that plays lacrosse in high school. Lacrosse and baseball compete with each other in the spring. Lacrosse is incredibly fast and makes baseball appear to be in slow motion. In all the years I have coached (8), every single kid that played both baseball and lacrosse chose lacrosse when it became time to pick one sport or the other (5th grade or so). I never had one player leave lacrosse for baseball. And the comparison is stark. You can play lacrosse and run and hit people and shoot and stay involved in the game and touch the ball dozens of times over the hour to 75 minutes it takes to play a game, or you can play baseball and hit once every 10 batters and then stand in the field and hope that the ball is hit to you 2 or 3 times in 6 innings over a span of 3 hours. Just like I tell the kids - if you want to stand around or walk, play baseball. The same goes for ice hockey, which I also coach. A player expends more energy in one 50 second shift on the ice than in an entire baseball game. The reason football does not seem slow is because of the strategy that goes into each and every play. After a play, personnel changes, a play is called, the defense sets up, the offense comes to the line. A true fan looks at the formations and tries to figure out what play is called and what play should be called. The game is not boring to me between plays, especially when I am at the game. In baseball, the pitcher throws a pitch, then the batter steps out of the box and adjusts his gloves and his cup, then the pitcher takes a walk around the mound, then the pitcher looks at the catcher , the catcher looks at the pitcher, the catcher gives a sign, the pitcher shakes him off, then the batter steps out again and so on and so on. The big strategy is whether the pitcher is going to throw a fastball or a curve and if you are at the game, you can't tell anyway. There is more strategy in one series in football than in an entire baseball game. There is more teamwork in one play in football than in a week's worth of baseball games. What does the manager do? Fill in the lineup card and then spend the rest of the game with his foot on the dugout step deciding when to take out the starter or pinch hit for someone. And the big decision comes when a hit and run is called. Whoaaaa. Hold me back before I get too excited!!!! Look, there are as many opinions in sports as there are sports fans. I just find baseball to be a tedious sport compared to almost every other sport (I can't watch NASCAR and I don't get the attraction to soccer). But with everything going on in the sports world at any one point in time, it amazes me and infuriates me that NY talk radio will spend hour upon hour and day after day talking about who the back up second baseman should be for the Yankees from February to November. Just my opinion. You don't have to agree with it and I don't have to listen, which I choose not to do. I don't want to fall asleep at the wheel listening to a 3 hour discussion of whether Daniel Murphy will hit .260 or .280.
Perhaps I'm in the minority but when I was 270 lbs+, I used to love and eat McDonalds at least once a week. Now that I'm 160 lbs and have gotten accustomed to homemade burgers, I can't even fathom eating McDonalds (had it once after I stopped the fast food and found it to be pretty terrible).
I love Mike Francesa. I've never admitted otherwise. Especially when he rags on the Mets. That's just quality entertainment.
BTW if you were a hawt brawrd would you sleep with Franceser? I would. I would like to know how one night is spent with the king of New Yawk.
I love football so you don't need to explain it to me. The 40 second delay between plays goes fast and it's not an issue. I'm only stating facts though. Football is played at a slow pace with one play every 40 seconds. The play only lasts for so long which normally isn't more then 7 or 8 seconds at the very longest. It shouldn't amaze you that people talk about baseball 24/7 during the baseball season. People don't find the sport boring. lacrosse? lol...I hear it's popular among teens but it's not exactly a sport anyone cares about.
I can understand why baseball can seem boring to some people. It really helps to have played the game to understand how tough it is. I personally love football and baseball. The weekly football game takes on so much importance because it is one of sixteen total games. A baseball team can lose 8 straight and recover. Not in football.
Well put it this way. In terms of team sports. #1 in America today = Football. Your average game lasts 3 hours and has about 11 minutes of actual game play (I think I heard this on Boomer & Carton). #2 in America = Baseball. Average game lasts about 3 - 3.5 hours. Not sure how much of that is actual game time. But let's just say over half to 3/4 of the game is the time between pitches plus commercials. #3 in America = Basketball. 2.5 hours and 45 minutes of game time. #4 in America = Hockey. 2.5 hours and 60 minutes of game time. #5 in America = Soccer. About 2 hours and 90 minutes of game time. It's funny that the more game time, the less popular . My favorite sports in order are probably Hockey Football Soccer Basketball Baseball Even though I try to watch the bottom three, I usually won't go out of my way to watch (except playoffs, world cup, etc.). Plus the Knicks sucking for almost the past decade doesn't help with basketball for me. Soccer I'd watch more if there was a good league in the US. The times of the games for European Leagues are never times when I feel like just watching a game. So I probably watch baseball more since it's so accessible and the Yankees are good. It's hard enough to suffer with the Rangers & Jets. I don't need to suffer in the sports I don't care as much about.
