Has he ever watched Brett Favre do this all the time. I wonder if this is why no one has seen gator for months.
Is this really a thread?? Maybe after every series they should come out with a wheelchair and wheel him back to the sideline too. We don't need him doing all that walking back, just more wasted energy. Even better, just get him a Segway he shouldn't have to drop back on passes either.
I cant beleive this is up to 3 pages. This was the most worthless thread.....Why do you care that Sanchez gets excited and runs down the field. For Christ sakes he a professional athlete and I think he can handle the sprint. Not to mention the adrenalin, ever heard of it? Im pretty sure the excitment he is feeling may actually give him more energy and not tucker him out. Im not sure why I even spent the energy to type this out....
Probably about the same amount of energy Mark uses to celebrate after the play. You must be exhausted.
Actually, I sort of agree. Sanchez is a very emotional kid. When he's up, he's WAY up. When he's down, he's WAY down. I think strong leaders tend to be a bit more even keeled. They don't get too caught up in the moment. They stay calm no matter the situation. No matter how good or bad things are going, they keep their heads about them. I think that in time, Sanchez will find more of a happy medium. I'm not criticizing him, but just making an observation. It's a game, and he should have fun playing it. Namath was a master at having fun but staying in control of his emotions. With time, I think Sanchez will too.
So after a 35 yard pass, is he suppose to walk to the huddle and line of scrimmage at which point the play clock would expire and then either burn a TO or take a penalty? As Jerry Seinfeld once said, "I'd like to have the last 30 seconds of my life back."
I think we also need to take into account that Mark Sanchez eats unhealthy (hot dogs) and will probably become fat. And how is he going to keep his energy running as a fat man after every long completion when he smoked a cigarette this offseason?
5 months later and this thread is still a waste of time. However, I applaud you for keeping the board moving. I think this has to be done during the post SB - Draft lull.
LOL.... even Sanchez talked about not getting too down and said his "prepared statement" after a very bad game was a mistake. He's only 22, and he will mature every year. No, I don't have a problem with his celebrations, but I think as he develops, some of that youthful exuberance will tone down a little as well as his ability to deal with adversity will improve. Is that so crazy?
Damnit Abyzmul, I went through this whole thing in an attempt to remind Gator that Sanchez smoked a cigarette and maybe he could justify himself...but u just beat me to it...
OH shit how did i miss this gem. This thread is soo much better then a "getting a feel for this city" thread.
