Lol, oh so now Cincy sucked eh? Would this be the same Cincy that everyone said the Jets would never get by.....twice ? Sounds like a lot of bitchy Fish whining to me....... Don't worry, next year we'll go back to owning your ass twice a year like we did the 4 1/2 years prior to Favre getting hurt..... :finssuck:
The Jets were down 1 score to the Colts midway through the 3rd. No one can definitively say the Jets would have lost that game if the Colts kept there starters in. The only people who do are people with an agenda, aka rival fans. The result of the playoff game does not indicate what may have happened if circumstances changed 4 weeks prior. If you believe they do, then you lack critical thinking skills. As for the Bengals, it's funny how everyone had us getting killed by them in the wildcard round. Then when we beat them it was because they weren't good. They were probably better than the division winning Dolphins last year who got completely dismantled in there home playoff game. The Dolphins haven't won a superbowl in 36 years either, so get off your high horse there buddy. When was the last time the Dolphins actually won a playoff game? I'm pretty sure it's officially more than a decade now.
This fine is BS. The Jets should be embarrassed by their own stupidity. Ryan did nothing that would require a fine at all. Shame on the Jets. Ryan should resign.
Ryan should tell Woody to go F Off and resign from the Jets today. F the Jets for this crap. The notion that he would have to pay a fine for this is totally absurd. Rex should quit the Jets immediately and laugh at the Jets for being so pathetically stupid.
Just heard on Carton & Boomer that Rex Ryan was spit on before he gave the crowd the middle finger at the MMA Event. If this is true Rex Ryan should not have to pay a dime, and have his fined returned. I haven't found this story on the internet so I don't know if it is a 100% true but if so would like to hear Woody, Goodell or Tannys response.
Guy is lucky Rex is a good natured sort. That kind of thing is an automatic beating 99.99% of the time.
I think the fine is complete BS. He was not at an NFL event, he was not acting as the HC of the Jets. He was making an appearance at an MMA event and he was being harrassed by some dumb classless fins fans. Somebody spit at him. He flipped a bird. He should refuse to pay any fine and tell the Jets they can stick their fine where the sun don't shine. The Jets should stand behind their Coach. Shame on Tanny & Woody for not supporting their HC. Triple shame on them for fining Rex. If I was his agent I would tell them that he will refuse to pay the fine.
i think you're being serious, so i'm responding as such.. if you're being facetious... ignore dutifully. having said that... he's the head coach of an NFL organization. when he leaves his front door to pick up his morning newspaper, if he's seen wearing a shirt that reads "go fuck yourself", he's disrespecting his position within the league. he has a responsibility to protect an image of the league. if you don't agree with that, don't put yourself in a position of spotlight. end of story. really that's all there is too it. is it right? no its PC bullshit. but its PC bullshit that every coach and player should know by now. it being or not being an NFL event is pointless and trivial. he's an NFL head coach, 24/7. he needs to act like it. them's the breaks. as mentioned numerous times already, the fine is team issued, and probably for the reason that the nfl won't be involved. edit: and for the record, i have a tee that reads go fuck yourself and i love it

If I was him I would have my agent inform the Jets that Ryan will refuse to pay any fine whatsoever. If they want to dismiss him over this that is up to them. Rex has every right to flip a bird at a jackass. If the Jets don't like it thent they should terminate his contract and deal with the consequences of that business decision.
Then the league would step in. The Jets were doing him a favor. and Rex isn't exactly crying over it. He made 10 times that in Playoff bonus money.
Let the League Step in. Let the NFL try to fine Rex for flipping somebody the bird on his own time after the season is over when he was basically acting like a private citizen. What NFL rule did he violate????? I would love to see this BS get challenged. Rex should tell the Jets to SHOVE IT. Americans have every right to flip a bird if they want to. NFL players do much more than that ALL THE TIME - during the season, after the season, etc. Let the NFL try to fine him for flipping a bird when he wasn't performing his duties as a Jets employee. I would love to see the lawsuit on this. the NFL would get its butt kicked.
I would love to see Ryan Challenge the Jets on this. Refuse to pay the Fng Fine. Then What??? Whatchu gonna do about it Tanny??? He broke no laws, it didn't occur during a Jets event, He wasn't acting as the HC. Rex should tell the Jets to Stick it where the sun don't shine. What are they gonna do about it???? If your answer is if the Jets do mothing than the NFL would get involved - my response is - AND WHAT WOULD THE NFL DO??? Fine Him for flipping bird???? Let them try to enforce that type of crap in a Court.
They would enforce it by preventing him from doing the thing he's been working his whole life to do... And they are allowed to do that. Coaches and players are expected to act a certain way on and off the field. He should pay the fine and move on. (which is what he is doing)
I have a strong suspicion that there is probably some language in Ryan's contract that prohibits him from bringing disgrace upon himself or the organization while he's under contract with the NY Jets. I'm sure the Jets have the right to terminate or fine someone in a high position who might be construed as being representative of the NY Jets franchise or being "the face of" the organization. If such language exists, Ryan wouldn't get very far in a court of law trying to fight the fine and a judge would probably even tell him he's lucky they didn't fire him. It's all much ado about nothing anyway. Who cares? Ryan is probably now more popular with NY sports fans than ever because of the "us against them" mentality of it all. The Jets know this and gave him the fine because they had to, and Ryan knows that and the Jets know that and the fans should know that and it's over with. It doesn't matter. History. He comes back in the spring and if a reporter asks him about it he says he made a mistake and paid the fine and what's your next question? Let's move on.
I thought the fine was excessive, but they had to fine him something. The saying goes"The guy who reacts second is usually the guy who gets caught" Same as on the field. Twenty would have been fine and Kudos to Glazer.
