We're just going to look for the brand new poster who is "totally addicted" with $25 in vcash and joined in OCT 2008. Quack: This draft is a dream. A wonderful, wonderful dream.
That's funny, I have the polar opposite opinion. I feel like he is one of the most sure prospects but just doesn't have an exceptionally high ceiling do to his immobility. The only thing he's going to do is play the Casey Hampton role: Plug the line up.
Sounds like a pleasant off-season, Quack! I think if we do trade Rhodes, trade conditions won't have too much to do with playing time. Playing time clauses are usually reserved for players with a history of injuries. (Lito, for instance; Vilma). Rhodes does a very good job of keeping himself healthy. Maybe too good a job...
Awesome post man, great input. You really convinced me, Cody is going to be AWFUL. Great job though Quack, my only complaint is I think we could get more for Kerry. This is pretty realistic and I would be very, very happy if this happened. Those two usually don't go together in mocks, great job.
Well he is 370 and he is sloppy... He would have to drop 30lbs or more easily and yeah he has had a good college career but I dont think he has brute strength and endurance to last a whole game. He doesn't really use Clubs, swims, Rips... He doesn't seem to use his hands to make contact or disengage... He just tries to bull rush and yes that worked in the Collegiate level but I dont think that will work in the League.
You have literally no idea what you're talking about. It's Cody's job to be fat... He's done a great job in the past getting off blocks to take down running backs. He's not supposed to shoot into the backfield on every play - it's his job to take up blockers, so the guys playing behind him can make plays.
Understandable but at that weight how many plays you think he is going to make in the NFL? They meaning the other team counteracted him by double teaming him and knocking him on his ass during the Senior Bowl. Dan Williams is a better Prospect ... Also he is not a solid fat he is a sloppy fat.
D-e-v-e-l-o-p-m-e-n-t. Cody has a huge frame, has only been playing big program football for a couple of years, is younger, and has worked hard to drop a significant amount of weight since last year. I think Cody is very underrated lately simply based on the fact that too many people are caught up in where these guys are right now. While Williams is a very good, very solid player, he doesn't offer much in terms of upside and his frame is pretty much maxed out. If Cody nails the interviews and teams feel like he'll put in the work, then he's going in the top 15. He'll deserve it if he does too.
Cody's actually gained weight this year...but in order to earn a scholarship two years ago, he shed about 20-25 pounds in one off-season. All together he's lost about 60 pounds since he's starting playing college ball. The kid wants to succeed, and that's obvious to anyone with a fully functioning brain...too bad tank is missing one of those. Someone bashed Cody about weight issues in another thread and here's my response:
Aside from the fact that I am not impressed by Cody's game, on principle I don't want the Jets drafting any player with a C-cup or larger. I don't think that's too unreasonable.
