in his first season, give him a lot of $, remember it's an uncapped season, and we can afford it, ala, the mets, and yankees, then the following years, pay him top 5 at his position.

    dummerville is another great option.

folks lets be honest, these are moves the great organizations get done.

when your as close as we are, it's time!

now i'm not saying spend all of our $ on fa's, but one great player, some key secondary players, a #3 wr, + the draft, and we could be super bowl bound!

Why is that soo ridicules? Im sure plenty of teams, even the pats or falcons, would give up there first for Peppers.

Trading a 1st round pick + Bryan Thomas + 5th round pick + Clowney is a terrible move. We got Kris Jenkins for a 3rd and a 5th. You just don't trade this much for a guy who is old and is unproven in our system.

Just because other teams are dumb enough to overpay does not mean it is less stupid. That first round pick is a major factor in the long-term development for the team, some place where Peppers does not fit at the age of 30.

I see your point. I still feel Peppers is the best route though personally. But maybe thats because im a bit scared of drafting a high caliber DE/OLB after getting Gholston  hahaha

Why would you trade a 1st round pick in the best draft ever, for an aged player who has never played in a 3-4? Just because you recognize his name?

1st round picks have so much more value then some people think.

I can definitely see where your coming from but then what would you offer for him then? And wouldnt we hafta worry about another team offering more for the player we want?

3 way trade - Clemens and Clowney to Carolina, Gholston and a 6th round pick to Okaland, Peppers and Asomugha to the Jets.

    Make it happen, Tanny.

I'm not so sure I'd want to give away Clowney so easily. Have you seen his 40 time? Replace Clowney w/Pitoitua and I may do it.

Peppers is going to go to GB supposedly.. Him and Matthews on the same side would be pretty hard side to block..

haha, have you seen Darius Heyword-Bey's 40 time? Also have you seen Shonn Greene's 40 time: The reason he dropped to us in the 3rd round.. You might not be able to teach speed, but there is a difference between track speed and game speed..

Oh crap, I think I got my trades mixed up. I bet we could get Nnamdi and a second for Clowney and Gholston.

I'm not into speculating as to who is worth what kind of pick and so on but IF the Jets traded their 1st round pick, they are giving up a no. 29 pick, hardly a coveted number 1. Sure it's a first rounder but late.

To secure a piece of the puzzle, to me, would be worth a number 29 in the first no?
