I'm not gonna argue for NFL refs. It's one aspect of the league that has lagged behind the times. Players are bigger, faster, stronger and smarter...and wealthier. Refs, not so much. And while replay has maybe helped some, I think the league needs to re-assess the way games are officiated and certainly the way refs are graded. And for whatever its worth, the fact that the league will put someone on air to at least answer some questions is a positive...but let's not forget who owns the NFL Network.
Right...so they got us on an incidental holding penalty 10 feet from the run (wonder what Fraudcesa will say about that) but miss a clear cut hitting the QB ? HOW COME THE MF'ERS COULDN'T MISS THE 1/2 SECOND DELAYED HIT BY GASTENEAU IN '86 ???????????????????
Also saw this douche defending the "no fumble" decision from the chargers game. So there's that. The guy had time to catch the ball, touch it with both hands, and switch to the other hand on the run before he fumbled it! How can you possibly defend that?!
And most of them pass plays...and their O-Line is NOT chock-full-of All-Pros......you don't think Bill Pollian has told the league and Perreria what is and isn't a hold for his team ???
